Clean Peak via Trebiški valley. 11.10.2019. Wasn't even planned. But from three options we had available we three all decided in the morning at departure to go check how the path for connoisseurs looks like as BT88 wrote. I assume he hasn't walked it for some years. In Trenta we turned to footpath and avoided the gravel road from the barrier. Then known over Trebišino. Found the junction to Zadnjiški Ozebnik. And reached the hut, where the path to Drt saddle should go. Grasses were wet. Dew in the grasses. And into battle with scrub. Path so overgrown it's no longer visible. We were wet already from dew. Wet grasses and larches. Towards the top of the saddle the world stands vertical literally, because you go where easiest and straight up the slope. We didn't decide to go back this way. It's also longer. To Clean Peak we needed four and a half hours. On top we dried in the sun. Nice. Descended the other side to Vrsnik. Otherwise all three satisfied with nice tour, though quite strenuous from Trebiški valley.

we discovered a new path where you avoid the gravel road and weekend houses.2
we are in a fairy tale land where Janko and Metka lived, Renato told us.3
we are already high up.4
and at the hut where Marjan and Renato are looking for ptarmigans that live here.5
this is what our path ahead looked like. Renato demonstrates the proper crossing.6

O, Darinka, you liked this peaknasmeh. Those trails from Trebiški valley I haven't tried to find yet - maybe sometime. Always go from Vrsnik and back there.
But you'll have to go again to catch the real gold. I hope to catch it too.
And from Clean Peak could go to Tičarca toonasmeh. When I climb it I always fight scrub because I miss the right trail hihi.

Yes really no time for Tičarca. Maybe sometime. Now we know what both paths are like. From Vrsnik much easier and hour shorter. And won't miss it again. Next time look for path to Jezerca. Maybe find it. In a week up there really nice. Already now. nasmeh

On Sunday 19.4.2020 I wanted views, peace and quiet again, which only Clean Peak offers. Snow started more seriously in forest above pasture. There over 60 cm. Through forest and higher also a bit "my way". Snow mostly very crusty, some places even icy "inserts". On top everything a mountaineer's soul wants. Silence disturbed only by avalanches on nearby walls of Špičje and Vrh Labrja. Every few minutes some "waterfall". Really impressive...

This nice Saturday I headed to Čisti vrh. I started at the first ramp and took the path along Suhi potok. As the mountain birds awoke, I quickly advanced higher to some clearing in the forest by Osojna korita, where I ran into a very extensive new windthrow (probably from early September). Later I learned that about a thousand cubic meters of wood were affected.. Since at that time I had no idea how vast the devastation was (only from the road above Osojna korita did I get a rough view), I stubbornly decided to cross it – I knew the road to planina V Plazeh was not far. Uh, I wouldn't repeat that again.. eek Surely the area is bypassable off-trail in the forest eastwards (to the right), where the devastation is smaller; the best is to choose another path to the planina. When I reached the road, the planina was close, from it less than an hour to Čisti vrh. Some fallen trees there too, but they are bypassable by following trodden shortcuts without problem.
Nice views on top and warm sun, met some hikers on return, back to start via road. It dragged on a bit nasmeh

Today on Čisti vrh. From first ramp along path by Suhi potok and on past Osojna korita to extensive windthrow. Since @djimuzl already wrote it was very hard to push through, my colleague and I did detour on the left side (right doesn't go). With a bit of orientation sense it goes nicely, no need to climb over fallen trees. Quickly on road then shortcut to Planina v Plazeh and on to Čisti vrh. Returned via Plazijanski vršac and through Ravni dol.

Path to the starting point completely grassy and mostly dry, parking space at the ramp for max 4 vehicles.
Trail nicely trodden and mostly firm, views from the summit and weather today already quite kitschy. Along the ridge we crossed also to Tičarica and then descended past planina Dol.

Are small crampons enough? Thanks nasmeh

djimuzl11. 02. 2022 20:38:58
Even in winter-spring conditions I am always equipped with full winter gear. So - always ice axe and microspikes for easier conditions, and 12-point crampons just in case. That extra kg of gear won't burden the hike.
Lack of gear means bad mood sooner if you have to turn back near the summit due to conditions.

Hribovc, when were you last above 2000 m a.s.l.?
On Tuesday crampons were already needed a bit above 1000 m in those parts. Frozen snow and ice like concrete.

No, it's not exactly swarming with bears there, but various tracks are visible in several places. This year's are smaller shoe sizes than last year's (my post must be somewhere); those were quite fresh and around size 42zavijanje z očmi As for snowy hills I often have just one dilemma about gear, but in current conditions even that isn't theremežikanje

On Sunday 27.3. to Clean Peak.
Once you start hiking to Clean Peak, you're "his".nasmeh It always captivates you again with its views, silence, beauties of nature.

Up the main road. Packed snow starts at the place where the shortcut joins the road (cca 1400 m).
There was quite a strong inversion. In the shade zmeden of the forest above the alpine pasture the snow was collapsing like crazy. For a while I was more on my knees than on my feet. If only I had snowshoes then...
But persistence paid off and I could again soak up the wonderful views from the top. That the peak was "only mine" that day enhanced the feeling of nature even more.
Interestingly, the last entry in the summit book was from over a month ago.
Winter gear mandatory in the last section.
Total accumulated 19 km...

Yesterday first time to Clean Peak. Very little visitors. Beautiful places, beautiful views, peace and feeling that time has stopped. Path from first ramp mostly well traceable, above repaired landslide cairns helped us, we set some ourselves too. Planina V Plazeh is deserted. At saddle Čez Drt we looked around for the path to Ravno dol, but didn't find it. Likewise not to Velika Tičarica. On return we descended directly from hut towards forest and right before it found well trodden trail, later it tried to get lost a bit, but we reached road without issues and after several turns back to car. nasmeh
