Last time this year I headed to Čisti vrh. This time along the long road and shortcut to Polog, then another shortcut to Planina v Plazeh, from there through forest to Mali Tičarica, to Velika Tičarica, short ski towards Šnite and ascent to Čisti vrh, and after sunset to valley.

It happened so that I climbed Velika Tičarica again today, this time with a colleague. From Skala of course on skis, on foot might break through here and there.
From Planina v Plazeh we took new variant through forest, to top comfortably. Wind almost stopped, so sat a bit and viewed. New snow mostly blown into soft or hard slabs. Skiing not best, but nice anyway.

If there won't be any more coolings, this year there'll be a turnaround regarding snow up to 1500 meters, it'll already be real spring in April.
On Vršič there was, I think, in '08 several meters of snow in May.

Mountain lover, true. This winter was very modest with snow on the highest peaks except for the western Julian Alps. Almost disastrously poor was this winter.
But the 08/09 winter was really exceptional. On Kanin records were broken, when unbelievable 8-9 meters of snow were measured, the road to Vršič on April 22nd looked like this:

The Clean Peak has been calling me for a long time - and yesterday it lured me!
I start at the first barrier through the beech forest dressed in spring. Where the path crosses the trail to the V plazeh pasture, snow begins, which is under my feet all the way to the top. Yeah, and it sinks too. Somewhere on the way I get advice that if I had left the character in the valley, it wouldn't sink zavijanje z očmi

! Oh, I believe that, but unfortunately the advice came too late!
In the forest lots of snow so it's hard to follow the path. Here and there I follow a poorly visible ski track, otherwise I just push uphill my own way. When I leave the larch forest, I climb up the snowy ridge to the saddle. Wide views open up. From here I cross the slope towards the peak. And I'd love to scream at this beauty, which I knew only from this forum until then. On the top I really enjoy two hours and surrender to the sun. The wind took care that it wasn't too hot for me. Otherwise, the silence was disturbed by some swish of scree that slipped from under the snow and the buzzing of a bumblebee.
When descending, the snow is softer and sinks even more. I go a bit on the old ski track, a bit my own way. Somewhere in the spruce forest I find my tracks and then it's much easier.
Since I have plenty of time, I go across the wide snowy carpet to the V plazeh valley, which is worth a visit and viewing the ruins of the old hut. And it's even snow-free there and the sun pleasantly warms. Only the descent to the starting point awaits me.
When I think now, the tour was fantastic. But a voice in me says I acted irresponsibly, because I went on an unmarked path where I had never been and knew it only from the forum. Yeah, I should have done it first in dry conditions. Well, I'll do that too mežikanje

Even though I know Igor is around here a lot, meeting him was a pleasant surprise. And although Karst people drink teran with prosciutto, the content of the can suited us better nasmeh

Despite the weather, which is always mežikanje

, we got away today with a few raindrops, the peak was a mix of fog, wind, sun and occasional clear skies... this Clean Peak is nice nasmeh

Given that yesterday it soaked me pretty well velik nasmeh

, today was the complete opposite mežikanje

... well, after rain the sun always shines... started quite late at the prison, Vas na Skali, and along the now familiar unmarked but traceable path to the top. Patches of snow in the upper part just for sample and for some nice slip or pirouette velik nasmeh

. The peak was looking lonely towards neighboring peaks, which were shyly hiding behind mists. It was a nice and warm day nasmeh

Rozka, nice pics and tour. And thanks for serving them. So the slopes of Clean Peak are already nicely "golden". Hope this gold lasts another week.

Almost a local @rozka made us crave it, so we went. Gita with her family and friends, Turbo, MajaO, I joined too, after I cleared the path to Planina v Plazeh a bit. Up there there's basically nothing new, but we were great company and saw a lot, a lot of beautiful things, we'll come back.

Yes, yes, it was really "lively" today on Clean Peak nasmeh

…we've been up there in all seasons except autumn, so we had to experience that too. What can I say…in one word: magnificent. Great weather, great views, wonderful golden larches at every step and last but not least great company…completely unexpected and to our great surprise, another "mini" hribi.net meeting happened nasmeh

…To make it a bit different this time, we did a circular variant return via Ravni dol, thanks to Igor who showed us the "path" through pathless grass and short scree slopes until we "caught" the trail…Thanks, Igor!
