Anyway, you didn't, your decision, you have the right to it...at least for now (because some would like to deny it to you). But you're not a more upright person because of that. Especially not compared to the one who works a lot with people, especially elderly/more threatened ones, and vaccinates because of work. Those who can barely wait for vaccine passports...waste of words.

Trobec, in nursing homes they found and are finding that they have no higher mortality than previous years, sometimes even lower. Employees are not stupid, so a large share of them didn't go to get vaccinated. Likewise, vaccination is no guarantee even with doctors who massively refused flu vaccinations already.
I am an upright person because pressures won't change my belief, like with some I see who would sell their soul to the devil just to go to Croatia or sell themselves for a 70 EUR pay supplement. Such a way of thinking has helped me till today over all hurdles, enabled a good but hard-earned service career, and I'm proud of all past decisions.

@julius: I don't agree with that either, at least from the green phase onwards. But I suspect it's just some extra bait so that people go get vaccinated, which isn't such a bad strategy. When the constitutional court discusses it, we'll at least be roughly vaccinated by then, I hope.
Oh, regarding that Von Hinten a few pages back: you know, you can't automatically project your wet dreams onto others. What you like isn't necessarily for others.
@Becar: wait for NovaVac then there's no more excuse. The 'subunit' technology it's based on is proven - vaccine for hepatitis B, OMR, some rabies and tetanus vaccines, ... all on that technology.
And migrants are a special category, protected because they'll be cheap labor force, at the same time with their dumping labor price lowering wages for local workers too. What better for turbo capitalists.
With us they're mostly on the left side of the political pole, that's why they crawl into their 'hinten' so much. In Germany Merkel's party is tightly connected to capital, she's inviting them in droves.

I didn't get vaccinated against flu either, and won't against covid. The diseases are very similar both in symptoms and mortality. The vaccines are similar too, since many vaccinated against flu got very sick right after vaccination like never before. I can confirm this firsthand, I have good connections in healthcare  It's interesting why they never tested us during flu epidemics. I'm sure there were similar numbers of infected as with covid. And of course mortality FROM flu equal to FROM covid. Except now they count every positive as cause, before almost none.

p.s. as an intellectual you should realize that during our lifetime much much bigger challenges are coming than this corona. Very soon a couple hundred million climate refugees at Europe's door. Or we'll be Europeans fleeing somewhere. Growing intolerance and rise of fascism. Ever harsher fight for natural resources. And there won't be some simple solution like a vaccine. Maybe those in the background are preparing us for what's coming with this overreaction to corona...

I don't understand. I think the vast majority of people see this as a personal decision. In my circle everyone certainly sees it that way. Some get vaccinated, others don't.
Don't let a couple of extremists like Becar and primoza bother you too much. Those are the real villains.

Topic about dogs! Yeah, back then we were on the same side. The main one on the opposite was anyway a provocateur who mostly contradicted just to provoke.
Now he's on your side, although you can't help much with him, because first you don't know if he's sincere or provoking again and second, he hasn't posted in the topic for a long time, and when he does (in general) it's either with provocation or some third-rate joke or some wannabe 'clever idea' and seems to himself probably great, how smart he is.
