SPIKE JONES. Hard to understand the point of this skit. It only evoked two associations for me – 1. Spike protein and 2. Hitler, Third Reich and medicine.
Since Hitler is thrown around left and right, something about that.
Germany after WW1 with huge losses of young men, attempt at Bolshevik revolution and economic crisis with hyperinflation was in total chaos. With promises of order and discipline, punishing the guilty and return to mythical Germanic greatness, the Nazis gained the exhausted German people.
Whoever thinks it's all Hitler's fault, that he was just a Joker who misled the people with speeches, should listen to Carl Jung who says: Hitler is the mouthpiece of the German people's collective subconscious.
Hitler was obsessed with order and purity. In 1923 in an interview for an American newspaper he said his maxim is a healthy mind in a healthy body. Once in power, Nazis precisely defined what a healthy mind and healthy body is. Then interventions in asylums and execution of mentally ill followed. They established a genetic health court where in 10-minute sessions they determined if a person was genetically ill or not. Consequently, over 100,000 women had to abort, thousands died in the process.
All this was done by doctors, not Gestapo.
An extraordinarily large share of doctors were in the Nazi party. Later they excused themselves that they just obeyed orders. Many doctors remained sensible, but manic hysteria swept them away.
How was it possible to go from initial progressive public health work to mass murders and horrific human experiments?
On the path to hell there was a labyrinth of steps going up and down. Where was the one where they crossed the line from which there was no return? Maybe there were several, but one is certainly: When a doctor, instead of being a confidant, advisor and advocate for the individual patient, becomes primarily a partner of the state, its bureaucracy and capital, he loses his mission.
When the Nazi hysteria ended, they wondered how it was possible. Do we want another lesson, or are we already asking now how it's possible to determine in 10 minutes with an unreliable test if a person is healthy or not and consequently forbid movement. And a completely healthy person is suspected in advance and must prove with tests overseen by medical bureaucracy that he is healthy and pay for it himself.
A typical example of perverted relationship is the lady who described problems after vaccination. The doctor who vaccinates, state partner – advertised everywhere, always available. When things go wrong, no medical confidant or advisor anywhere. And like with many other problems, when this top ''evidence based medicine'' fails, she's left with some Dr. Mercola, but now they have also lustrated him and his likes.
