On Mrežce there is up to a meter of snow in drifted spots, on scoured ones the landscape is completely bare. Overall snow enough for nice view, nothing more. Trail probably quite trodden already (at least 8 people up and down), but snow still dry and slippery.
Well, and thanks to the one who trampled large part of the trail to the summit right in front of me, thanks nicely.

Road to planina Zajavorniki drivable by cars, plowed (as gravel roads are, not to ground) with arranged passing spots. No issues mainly.
But warning to all reading: those "mini parking for 2 cars" every few 10 m along road are not parkings but for meeting vehicles on road not wide enough for two. People parking (blocking) them cause serious trouble to other Pokljuka visitors. Once I spent good half hour to inch past oncoming column to main road.
I know most who block passings not here, but for those who do: you harm yourself and others.

Anyone been around Blejska koča last days. Interested in snow depth from Šport hotel via planina Javornik, Blejska koča to Debela peč. Snowshoes needed or without

On mentioned trail went yesterday. To Blejska koča path no issues. Towards Debela peč trail trodden only to signs for Lipanska vrata and Brda. That's after first steep part. Further snowshoes super as crust held but sank to knees. I turned back there too.

Currently to Debela peč you get only with touring skis or snowshoes. Snow is frozen indeed, but doesn't hold large loads. Path to Brda and Lipanski vrh a bit trodden, but sinks deeply. Viharnik and Miki described it nicely on the previous link.

Well, today my colleague and I reached Debela peč even without snowshoes True though, as predecessors wrote, snow sinks quite a bit, makes walking much harder. Sometimes to knees, even to waist it gave way But if will and fitness, in the end all rewarded!

Majdag, biggest thanks for the idea! Today I did the same path (skipped Okroglež) and can say only...wonderful! At moments I felt like throwing myself into the snow and staying there, it was so fairy-tale like. Conditions as you described them, I had up only crampons with chain and even without poles, because I stupidly forgot them in the car and realized it too late. Well, it went without problems anyway. Aja, I was probably the only one who left the car already at Mrzli studenec, because I didn't dare drive on the road to planina Zajavornik fearing ice on the road.   Eh, if I hadn't been home too early, at least I was 5 hours in fresh air. True, that macadam at the end dragged on and on... Pics will come.

Oh yes, of course. Approx. 45 min each way. On the way back I went past Medvedovi kont, about a kilometer longer path, but better for the legs downhill, well if we ignore one short climb just beyond Kranjska dolina. And I had never gone that way and was curious what it was like. And I found out - mainly it is very long.

We still needed to take advantage of the nice weather and good conditions, though there was pure ice in places, especially from the Sport hotel and over planina Zajavornik. Saturday - 12.1. was still such a day.
It's nice here, but so what, the hut is too small ...
This time we decided to go nicely in order: Okroglež, Debela peč, Brda - still quite trodden, continuation to Lipanski vrh and to Mrežce, there the path was barely traceable, thanks to the one who pulled the spur, otherwise we wouldn't know where and how.
The cables were completely out in the first part, under Mrežce more in the snow.
Nice and beautiful, many hikers, equipped so-so.
