The original goal was Ojstrica. Despite the unpromising weather forecast, we hoped that the weather up top would be good. We started at Planinšek under a starry sky and then a sunny morning, which above the Vodole pasture was replaced by thick fog. New snow, fluffy powder, up to 15 cm. Past Tolsti vrh we no longer saw even the winter markers, so we reluctantly turned back. When we skied under Deska, the clarity above Deska lured us onto it. Already below the summit, the fog closed in again. In the lee, we waited for better visibility and then skied down. We also met some walkers on snowshoes and without them. New snow, fluffy powder, ca. 15 cm. Igor and Janez cut through the fog.

We also had a different original goal, namely Veliki Vrh, but half an hour below the summit due to avalanche danger we turned back. Deska offered itself on a plate and along the ridge it was easy to reach the super panoramic summit. Really a phenomenal day on the paths of Dleskovška planina, one just "gets lost" in such moments.

On the third picture it's not Deska but Tolsti vrh.
Deska is behind it and not visible.

Aha, then I mixed up ... but we definitely were at the Deska summit (pile of stacked stones and long pole) and then over the burned slope. If honest, before this day I didn't even know about Deska, so please understand

they went along the path from Podvežak towards Korošica. In the picture they are climbing from the plain under Deska. I think they didn't get far as the snow was too southern. They sank really deep, but they were persistent. The track was like Swiss cheese.

Nice, Vito - we one day later, i.e. on Sunday, same path, only first to Korošica, but flowers not yet as many as I met last year, unforgettable.
Well, for tea already some found.

Sometimes not everything goes as planned, but it's nice to have a backup plan. Planned Konj and Rzenik but road from Kranjski Rak to Dol pasture not drivable (snow at 1300m - over half a meter), so went elsewhere. Decided for road to Planina Podvežak whatever. If interested, road to Ravne pasture also not drivable more than 500m from junction (snow). Well, to parking below Podvežak need to leave car 1km lower, no problem. Went on snowy road to hunters' hut at Brežiči. Then in forest no snow. Higher up snow again, must be over a meter, sinks only near scrub, so mostly walked on animal tracks.
Weather higher up getting worse, strong wind, clouds anyway, then fog.
First two peaks found, third Tolsti vrh probably? (marked path a bit with branches). So weather forecasters bad..bad. Next time better.

Yesterday we used the nice day for strolling on the Dleskovska plateau. Started at Planina Podvežak towards Korošica, later turned left, climbed to the saddle between Tolsti vrh and Deska, visited its summit, descended towards Vodotočno lake, continued path along clear stream to Stare Tale, then unmarked path under Lastovec walls past hunters' hut at Brežiči to parking under Planina Podvežak. Path pleasant, some snow remains, lots of flowers, stream that sinks at Stare Tale so full as we had never seen it. Path under Lastovec in bad condition requires caution in some places, part on burnt area also overgrown.

We park below Planina Podvežak. The road is driven on and icy, but drivable. On the snowy and driven road to the hunters' hut. Above the hut mostly dry, just some patches here and there. Lastovec slope and ridge to Deska with just a few snow patches. We continue to Tolsti vrh, descend back to the saddle and go down to Vodotočnik. Continue towards Korošica. From Prag we climb to Lučki Dedec and after descending back to Prag we cross under Koroški vrh to Sedelce. Under Koroški vrh some traverses with hard snow, ice axe mandatory. Descent continues between Belim vrh and Črni vrh past Inkret back to Planina Podvežak. From here just a walk to the parking below the pasture.

Janez, very nice and sunny tour. It's interesting, though, that under Koroški vrh you can always expect some ice trap under snow. Good luck!

Today nice walking tour, except two hours crawling through bushes, which I cooked up myself by speculating on a shortcut.
Pl. Podvežak to junction where path from Luč joins, left to Deska, bushes , back to right path, Deska and descent same path but this time without bushes.
Weather gorgeous sunny, practically no wind, this right path BP. Met approx. a dozen hikers and chatted a bit
