Hi everyone! I'm wondering if anyone has recently done the mentioned tour Grintovec - Mlinarsko sedlo - Dolgi hrbet - Skuta and Kokrsko sedlo and what the conditions are like? Especially Dolgi hrbet-Skuta. Thanks in advance for all info.

Fixed protections in good condition, snow there long gone.

On the path bivouac under Skuta - Skuta still 4 snow patches to cross (status 19.7.09). Caution not amiss.

Today on this path (Tovorna Žičnica-Češka k.-Mlinarsko sedlo - Dolgi hrbet - Skuta). Morning frost, at entrance to Frischaufovo two to three meters icy snowfield (pebble in hand and kick steps), fixed gear on whole path ok, newly soaked from rain, on ridge verglas (hey, in August!? ), some new snow that doesn't cause issues and icy November wind in gusts. Good that much of path is on south side, where it was tolerable, to the top I just went to turn around , also on top of Štruca not much better. No dawdling on grass though. We'll have to like Italians, or what, only go to mountains in afternoon? Return same path, only hour before Češka koča people appeared. And as usual: it was nice .

What about ibex? Were there any or hidden?

Didn't see chamois, nor ibex - didn't know they are also in Kamnik-Savinja Alps - no marmots. But saw black newt and several bird species, and lots of edelweiss.

On Saturday there were lots of ibex on the path to Dolgi hrbet, chamois and marmots I met this year under Kočna too.

Tomorrow I'll wander around these parts, hope to meet them somewhere, once I already met a whole herd under Štruca

I'm interested in how long it would take: Češka koča - Dolgi hrbet - Štruca - Skuta - Mala Rinka - Koroška Rinka - Kranjska koča. Usually I hike for as long as it says on the signs.

And in which direction is it easier to walk towards Ledine or towards Češka.

First to Ledine, because it's climbing.... then Rinke-Skuta-Dolgi hrbet-Češka koča, from Češka koča it's an easy path to the valley.

Yeah on Saturday I really saw someone exploring the bivouac under Grintovec Time-wise we were with velkavrhom about the same. Tour also similar, though mine a bit reversed and also a jump to Grintovec from Mlinarsko sedlo. But on the way back I really enjoyed martinčkanje in front of Cojzova koča.

Please for an opinion on Dolgi hrbet: Which path is easier for descent? Descent to Mlinarsko sedlo or on the other side?

Descent from Dolgi hrbet is easier to Mlinarsko sedlo than crossing to Štruca. It's also closer.
