... The trail is dry, almost no snow, the views on Wednesday were fantastic. Daffodils are already blooming in Plavški, flowers are opening higher up too. Impressions and the trail itself on the link nasmeh

Yesterday I went to Dovška Baba from Raven, along the road and then along the marked path "through" the pasture.
The path was without features, only the sign about the dangerous bull slightly sped up my heartbeat velik nasmeh

At Planina Dovška Rožca a friendly lady greeted me and we chatted a bit, then I went further up towards Baba past the cows and the bull (or two bulls).
The path is pleasant, just the wind was really annoying, the view was nice though.
I'll return up there nasmeh

Only the logbook is already full and I didn't sign inside nasmeh

Viharnica, what's the road to Raven like? And the bull? Did he look mean? I'm really scared of these animals... And the friendly lady at Planina Dovška Rožca - can you get something for thirst there?? Is there a stamp at the top?
Everything interests me... Were you at Hruški vrh too?

The road is ok, with car slowly and carefully, it's fine. I left the car several km before the barrier.
I didn't meet the bull on the pasture, he was at the hut on planina D. Rožca, I asked the lady about the bull and she said he can really "charge" sometimes and best to go around him in an arc if you meet him and continue.
I didn't order anything, but probably you can get something to drink, yes.
At Baba summit there's that "independent" stamp, you need the pad of course.
On Hruški vrh I was about 8 years ago, not yesterday nasmeh

Today to Dovška Baba - in sunshine! First time up there - from Raven i.e. parking, where further driving prohibited. Along road the path to barrier and further to where trail finally splits to forest drags a bit then super. Up nice views, Julian peaks covered by clouds. In short nice path only road part unnecessary... Next time start from Dovje - just get up earlier... nasmeh

Dovška Baba Saturday from Dovje: from road barrier through forest to planina Dovška Rožca little snow (0 to 5 cm). From planina on to summit snow cover slowly thickens to 15 cm. Not icy.

Today on Dovška Baba, Koprivnjak and Hruški vrh. Path dry, weather wonderful, almost warm and in parts light breeze. No-traffic sign now about 20 min walk before barrier.

Today on Baba, started above Dovje at the Mlinarica power plant. Little snow to Planina Goreljše, above it snow gets more with every meter. To the road junction one mountaineer made a track, from there to the planina and up to the summit it's already quite trampled. Nice tour, only weather wasn't the best - from start of Planina Rožca to summit there was dense fog. Quite a few ski tourers, they say you can drive pretty high by car.

Since Janez didn't attach pics, I'll add some from today. Started late, so the thaw in the forest rewarded me with real rain. Track is already ok. Weather wonderful, views too.

... Yesterday's day was wonderful. When winter flirts with spring and there's just enough snow for the step to sink a bit. Of course caution must be greater, but it's nice. nasmeh

Walk to Dovška Baba and Hrušev vrh these days offers plenty of autumn pleasures. Snow is just a trace.

Today 28.11. went from Planina pod Golico past Jeseniška planina to Rošca and along the ridge to Dovška Baba. Descent to Dovje.
Snow, powder from Jeseniška planina on. On the ridge some windblown, some drifts, but all up to 30 cm. No ice, went without crampons.

Northerner already decorated trees, sandblasted me well. Saw two eagles hunting. If I remember right, golden eagles often hunt in pairs, few meters apart. If prey escapes first, it's surprised when second finishes the job.

First ski tourers have already signed...

Today 26.12. went to Dovška Baba. Not much snow, path is trodden (can without gaiters), but under summit some icy patches.

At summit put on gaiters and continued to Mokotova koča and descended to Hruščanska planina.
