What's now Does anyone have any idea - julius admit it's not in Austria and the mark is like that because one couldn't draw a circle on that fat trunk - or could...

Goli vrh from Belska Kočna

Yes, it could be the steep path to Kokoš. Those markings are long gone...

Sorok- on that fat trunk you can draw a nice Knafelj mark. Turbo- not Belska Kočna B2- not Kokoš either. The markings are fresh - this year's. I'll tell you the location soon

I "painted" such a marking years ago on a tree above the hamlet Logje towards Bale

Igor, you surely didn't "paint" this one. This is this year's. It's fresh. Best regards from B´c.

B2 - 100% not there where you wrote. Turbo - in Croatia so far I've only seen Knafelj markings.

Shot in the dark: it's possible it's somewhere in Italy on the border with A. and the markers were Austrian, because a part of Austrian trail runs on Italian side Well, possibility is small, and Igor would surely know already

You see such markings also in It, especially in Tyrol; I assume it's from there?

Not in Italy. So I don't delay and prevent others from posting a new riddle, I'll tell you that they marked the trail from Podgorje to Slavnik like this. In the PD responsible for this trail, they have trained-schooled markers according to the training program for markers done within PZS. Despite that, they go and "paint" "yodeler" markings on trees. It makes one's stomach turn seeing how it's done and servile behavior. Where is national consciousness here??? Cankar wrote: "Born as servants, raised as servants". He was truly clairvoyant. Well, in a well-known tourist place they have "yodeler yellow" direction signs, and the place is largely unkempt. Yeah, that's how it is. Continue!

Wait for the tree to grow, then they'll round it a bit... Do you really think they painted it in that shape on purpose? More positive energy, and the world will be nicer.

@julius "Miri, don't you see that they are not Knafelj markings. They are Austrian. Not Otlica." This your answer was quite precise and unambiguous. By hammering to Miri "...DON'T YOU SEE...THEY ARE AUSTRIAN" You make clear they are not in Slovenia. I believe your blood pressure rose at that! Anyway I agree with Drago Enough - continue with riddles.

dprapr: trees on the trail to Slavnik already have now appropriate thickness for "Slovenian-Knafelj" marking. So you understand what it's about I'm attaching "Regulation on marking and equipping hiking trails". There everything regarding hiking trails in Slovenia is clearly written. About positive energy I talk only about positive matters. So some other time. http://www.uradni-list.si/1/objava.jsp?urlid=200880&stevilka=3594
