SilvestrO, the lower variant is also on the right side of the picture.
But the upper one is more interesting for "wandering", where you feel the real chamois scramble, even by smell.

When I first wandered here 40+ years ago, I didn't even know about the lower variant, did such a thing with fixed ropes even exist back then? (riddle)

The lower variant wasn't known to me back then either. We descended via the upper one.
I learned about the fixed rope about 10 years ago.
