Čušin in the book on Breginj basin states the following: "The border between the Southern Alps and the Outer Dinarides runs along the southern slope of the Stol massif at around 800 m a.s.l., so that actually the entire Breginj basin in the narrower sense belongs to the Outer Dinarides (Buser 1986)."
So, Matajur doesn't belong to the Julians, but to the Dinarides.
