A couple of trees there can be seen with trunks all black at the bottom. Even below the path it's burnt. This must have burned sometime.

Yes I think it burned once, as I read today and even then it was visible, everything somewhat black.

This path is marked and very difficult regarding orientation. The higher you go the fewer markings and even the path gets lost. I think this path is also very little visited. There are other paths to this mountain that are definitely more visited.
