Since I notice that the forum is sleeping now with such bad weather, I'll wake you up a bit! Write what this year was like in the mountains and hills, was it really the worst weather year and which peaks did you visit most often this year? You can also write some event (loved or unloved) that stayed in your heart and memory! Pictures are also welcome!!! LP

Well, the chamois impressed me most in my memory; I met them in October below Skuta, as it was the first time I saw them so close!!

Yes, the pics are from various tours - each from a different one, done alone or in company this autumn - except Storžič and Triglav, which are from summer. Some nice ones are missing, no camera or mate shot them and I left the CD at gf's

Since I'm more of a beginner in hikes, I really like this site and enjoy the beautiful pictures you post, I would be even happier if it said under the pictures which mountain it is. Specifically fpetel1/1, thanks for the really wonderful pictures, from where are they?

even in December it was possible to use a nice afternoon for a safe ascent! I think, that this year was weather-wise favorable to us!!

For me the year was also very nice and we did many hikes (though fewer than last year), some new ones, many already walked 2x Triglav (once as a day trip). The nicest were autumn ones: Prehodavci, over Pokljuka peaks, Komarča-7lakes-Komna... I could list more, each beautiful in its own way. In these gloomy days I happily look at pictures, but unfortunately I don't know how to upload them.

In this case your hand can also help. So, when logged in, click on "Upload images" on your post. You get to a new page. Click Browse and upload the image from your computer. You can describe the image (Image description). Click upload image. When the image is uploaded it appears on the page in thumbnail form and you can go to Browse again and upload another image etc... At the end of uploading images click Finish uploading images. Uploading goes faster if the images on your computer are already resized to 800x600; if not, it works just the same, only a bit slower.

The weather in the outgoing year was comparable to previous years. As every year, this year too I ascended some peaks not yet visited from my side. Let me mention the visit to the Dolomites, which despite similar rock composition differ quite a bit from the Julian and Kamnik-Savinja Alps.

For me this year the hike from Ljubljana to Triglav stayed most in memory. It was mid-August. On Thursday we with friends around 18h started the path. First time we slept at tourist farm Gonte under Grmada. Next day over Tošč, Pasje Ravni, Poljan to hut on Blegoš, where we slept second time. Third day through Zali Log to Soriska planina, then to Bohinjska Bistrica and to hut on Uskovnica. Next morning over Vodnik hut only to Dolič, where due to bad weather we waited until next day. Next day to Triglav and descent to Pokljuka. The atmosphere on the way was excellent and despite blisters and pains in legs and shoulders we decided to repeat it next year. Other hikers welcome too.

Also to me quite often during the year "my mouth waters", when I read this forum and thanks for beautiful photos and descriptions of experiences to all in turn. Nice to be with you. maybe we could open a subforum: where I was... for us who are a bit farther from home and can't always go.... yes, yes I know: the time will come when there is no more time..... greetings to all

The year that is ending was quite successful. Since I joined the company, I have no time but visited pastures and mountains 75 times. Some as markač duty, the rest just like that. Wouldn't highlight any hike, since every visit to our mountains is something wonderful. I wish safe steps to all from now on. Lp Franc

Next year Špik hude police will definitely be one of my goals - I have to see this "live" . Elsewhere around hikers who snack, "fidget" with coffee, here though, as it looks, real ibex! This year unfortunately wasn't among the richer ones for me regarding mountain visits, because knee problems quite spoiled my plans. Some shorter trips I did manage, although I wouldn't highlight any goal particularly.

Tough decision, lots of beautiful ones. Maybe Skuta via Žmavčarje. First time in a long time in the Kamniks!

At the beginning of July we set off for Špik; the morning weather didn't promise any views. At the start of the ascent there was fog and pleasant walking temperature, but when we climbed out of the fog, a wonderful panorama opened up to the nearby peaks. At the top it was warm as warm air rose from Martuljek up to 30 degrees. We descended via Kačji Graben and went for a well-deserved beer to Poštarski dom, where a nice view of the hiked path opened up.

Yes, in October being in short sleeves on a two-thousander summit is a real rarity! It was really a nice day, one of the nicest since I hike mountains! I also hope we meet somewhere!! You never know, Slovenia is small!!
