Klavdipo Nice response to some thing. You spiced up this current calm. For myself, I can only say that I returned to the mountains after a few years' lull (I mean real mountains). I still circled the nearby hills. I'm also happy that my son joined me (due to studies, he has little time). In recent years we formed a striking mountain group (some for high mountains and via ferratas, and some for less demanding hikes). So this year we hiked really a lot and adjusted hikes to the team composition. I wouldn't highlight any hike because all were... Lp and put together lots of descriptions and good photos, visitors of Hribi.net

This week I have in plan something undemanding for a lone snow hiker. Not sure yet if Velika or Stari vrh or something similar. Before the new year something higher, if conditions are ok and we can finish this mountain-rich year, when I also did A course PZS and planned tours for next year in local club. Most trips though (at least scouting) I do alone, with gf or colleagues.

I will remember this year because our two girls started conquering their first two-thousanders: Obir, Begunjščica, Veliki Vrh in Košuta, Raduha, Krn... One hike more beautiful than the other, each unique. Good luck, safe steps, successful tours and lots of nice photos to all also in the coming year!

fpete/1 thanks for thorough explanation about peaks, really kind. I tried also with one pic per your instructions (thanks) but it threw it to previous post; oh well school makes master; slowly I'll get used; you all really super on forum, hope for many more nice sunny days so you can delight us with nice pics and make us "itch"; for me as beginner this year best ascent to STOL although rain and hail lashed us otherwise more on lower: Šmohor, Lubnik, Vajnež, Porezen, Mrzlica, Sv. Miklavž, Sv. Primož, Raduha; if I keep looking your pics and descs next year a bit higher; Kriški podi!? Storžič,

I won't forget this year's 3-dayer either. On Saturday 30.8. my friend and I went from M. saddle to Mangart. The next day his family joined us too. We went from Zadnjica to M.podu. We two also popped to Razor. The next day—Monday—1.9. was legendary. Zadnjica-Dolič-Triglav-M.Triglav-Kredarica-Staničev dom-Kredarica-Planika-Dolič-Čez hribarce-Prehodavci-Zadnjica. All huts were full, so we drove home every day—120km one way. Lp

It won't be long until everything blooms again. Until then we'll enjoy the snowy idyll. (don't know if I'll manage to upload pictures)

Ajaj! I'd be on Triglav sooner than I'll manage this! Thanks for the help, also to Rok, but for the third time, connection interrupted: angry:- I'll wait for my son; I'm stubborn like a sheep, but I want to learn this too, even though I have no special pics for now; there will be. Thanks!

Addendum: pics are finally up: first taken from Raduha towards beautiful Oljševa, second from Mrzlica-Kal with Triglav in background, third from Robanov kot with Ojstrica in background; yupi victory is ours - now, I promise, you'll have some peace from me, I'll rather admire and enjoy looking at enviable beauties of our mountains captured in your pics; I just wish you a nice weekend for mountaineering pleasures

All pics are interesting and nice. Maybe just a suggestion: probably best to enter in the prepared line for photos (text for picture) what is on the photo or from where it's taken, since there's enough space. It seems more clear than writing those details in the message text before or after. Oh, and also - sometimes you have to "scroll" a photo down to the end to see the caption, maybe someone then thinks there is no caption.

Since we're on Pohorje; summer or winter, one of the nicest, especially with kids! LP Andrej

We who love nature and hills don't boast with dead marmots! Where is nicest? About that could speak someone who's been everywhere. So nobody. Andrej jerina; if for you nicest is with poor skinned animals (with bottle in "hand"), you've presented yourself... Between hunters and mountaineers there is some difference!

Thanks for the warning, I'll certainly avoid that home where they display corpses.

hey, heinz, calm down, just calm. I think the topic here isn't to objectively compare peaks and choose the most beautiful. everyone gave their personal opinion where they spent the nicest moments this year, and everyone probably has their own reason why they chose some corner of Slovenia or the world. of course pictures and comments also tell a bit about the one who posts them. just why did that Italian girl stick to Triglav twice?

Heinz, you said that well. I think hunters have no place among hikers. Regards Franc

There was no bad intention with the marmot picture, I'm sorry I put it online and that some interpret it wrong. Let the apology be in good spirit. P.S I ask the admin to remove the mentioned picture. LP Andrej
