I think that every mountain trip has its specific, unique charm depending on the weather, season, terrain relief and finally the form of the ascent. All trips were special to me because they are all different and with each trip the eye notices something new, the soul feels something unfelt, that which the circumstances offer. But despite everything, the deeper feelings remain from the path to Koštrunove špice, where I literally danced with chamois. One on Zadnja špranja almost jumped on me, the others casually strolled all around, around Guido Corsi like tamed dogs seeking and calling the caretaker for food. An interesting adventure was also crossing the entire Pokljuka by MTB. I saw previously unseen hidden pastures and I am glad that I experienced all this peacefully by bike. Rarely seen ptarmigans also nicely surprised me in Peklo. I last saw them ten years ago, on a cold snowy morning on the summit ridge of Viševnik. There was really an abundance of snow, where the pastures were bending under the white cover.

The start of the year (3.1.2009) began unpleasantly during the descent from Rogatec. Everything ended luckily, only occasional knee pains remain during greater efforts. A year of fulfilled plans, and some are left for 2010. I am happy that my son enrolled in AO this year and is now trying climbing a bit. He has already collected mountain mileage and now also professionalism. I wish to hike at least as much in the coming year as in 2009 and that there are no injuries. In short, a successful year of hill climbing!! lp

What more can a soul wish for that loads 6 crosses on its back and is happy for every trip it still makes? This year will remain mainly in my memory when the day after the new year at minus 16 I "crossed" from Pokljuka to Zajmanike, when in July on Krasji vrh I got soaked like not for a long time. Čisti vrh completely captivated me, as well as the pastures under Tolmin migovec, and again Krasji vrh in August dog heat.... yes, every trip is my little pearl in the string of memories that will one day, when the leg can no longer go uphill, beautify long days without mountains. I heartily hope that next year too every weekend and a bit in between I will somewhat "thaw out". I wish everyone a nice and friendly year and that we all find our paths.

I don't have much to say, I am just a beginner, but in the passing year I hiked quite a lot in our hills and it was nice everywhere. In winter the mountains seem especially beautiful to me, so I also started with ski touring. I respect and admire old cats like triglavski, viharnik and all who post a lot, so I wish you many more nice and safe ventures, and I will try by the end of 2010, when we describe experiences again, to collect something nice. Good luck to all - Matjaž

Cheers, Matjaž! No worries, you too will collect the mileage one day, just take it with a small spoon, and it'll go. I've been doing this for 45 years, and it still works for me. All the best and safe steps in the coming year. Lajči

This year I did quite a few trips i.e. nearly 120, most of them "nice", only a few demanding ones, which, as if on purpose, stay most in one's mind. Given my physical - previously not as active - past, I boast about this year's one-day loop: Krma - Triglav - Kredarica - Kot. I also liked Palec and Zelenjak, the demanding Skalaška path on the Belščice ridge, and more. Over 90% I hike alone, or with dog Reksij. To be consistent, I admit that every time I cross the home threshold intending to go to the hills or just into nature, I feel the same enthusiasm, and equally the pleasant satisfaction that overwhelms me when I return. Yes, if only it were like that for at least a few more years!

Since I'll soon celebrate 1st birthday, I'll write a few words too. On 11th January I slipped on Snežnik and fell into abyss, 22m deep. With plates they reconstructed my vertebrae, after 4 months I was back up. Then some lower hills, followed Gradiška tour, Vrbanove Špice, Velka Baba above Jezersko, Triglav, Storžič and quite a few 2 thousanders... hope it will be like that in future too... for New Year's Eve on Kredarica

In our family there were quite a few trials this year, but summa summarum, it was nice. The biggest breakthrough regarding hills was for my son Jošt, who wanted to climb Triglav and we did it. Likewise, it was my huge desire to climb Mont Blanc, which I also accomplished with family support. Otherwise, lots of experiences, beautiful moments in the silence and beauty of mountains,... Given that we are not such mountaineers as some of you, this year we roamed around our mountains a bit. We were on Vogar (peak), Preval-Roblek hut-Begunščica-Zelenica, Kofce-V. peak, Stol, Krn, Debela peč and several times Ratitovec. I think next year we can already conquer something more demanding Happy holidays to all and many new adventures.

This year I fulfilled my goal and visited all I set... Definitely a big feat was Jalovec on which I had to go alone, since my colleague got sick. Otherwise every experience and trip was unique in its own way. Most proud of the tour Mihov dom-Hanzova Prisank-Razor-Kriški podi-Križ-Kriška stena-Krnica-Mihov dom. This tour really gave me a boost... And Mangart, Škrlatica, Oltar, Dovški križ, Šplevta... This year lots of mountains over 30 two-thousanders. Hope next year even better. Definitely big feat pathless PP (Planica-Pokljuka), and Mont Blanc, Rokavi, ridge traverse... in short mountains rule!

Year 2009 I'll remember for the traverse of Bohinj mountains to Prihodavci hut and down to Zadnjica. Followed a heartwarming meeting with friends that my friend and I met last year on Krn, and hike towards Gorenjska over pasture Za skalo to Triglav lakes and back towards Bohinj. Of course unforgettable also trips to Karavanke and meetings with good people and with oneself. Good luck also in 2010!

I'll remember year 2009 for successful ascent on Triglav via Slovenska route. Otherwise every ascent on any mountain is a special experience. Good luck 2010 to all.

Last year, 2009, I'll remember for the successfully completed SPP. Thanks to all who helped me with that and "sweated" with me. Good luck in 2010.

We're concluding a nice and successful year. I'll remember it (with husband) for the one-day [trip] to Triglav, which, with breaks and snack, lasted 12 hours from Pokljuka, then two-day Triglav over Prag on 15 August, unforgettable party on top, sleep at Planika, over renovating Dolič and Luknjo to Vrata. Crazy beautiful nature in that area. There were also many repeated tours, and many new two-thousanders. The most adrenaline-packed one seemed to me from Krvavec over Kalški greben to Kokrško sedlo I wish everyone health in 2010, successful tours and happy returns. Happy holidays

From many trips I'll remember best the wonderful Visoko Rosojanska path (with descent to Žaga ) and some unusual touring ski trips. Only Kukova Špica and Vrtaško Sleme didn't like me from the mountains - in four attempts only one succeeded to Špica, and even then there was complete fog at the top. I hope next year will be as varied as 09!

Hello! This year I'll remember for a strong ankle sprain at approx. 1900 m a.s.l. and friendly people who helped me "on the terrain" and also on hribi.net with advice, so I successfully "rehabilitated". THANKS once more. And for Dolič, above which an avalanche roared and what enthusiastic hands did then. And for sunny sunrises, vivid colors of alpine flowers and encounters with wildlife (2 marmots, chamois, goats, sheep...) and mountain peace. Happy holidays and much health and love and some luck in 2010 .

This contribution of mine by content maybe doesn't belong on this website, but maybe someone will be interested in some photo from the Atlas. I toured Morocco touristically (not mountaineering) this February and also regarding 'hills', enjoyed the wonderful hitherto unknown world. I too wish nice holidays and safe steps in 2010!
