This year with friends we didn't manage to walk as much as last year, since weather wasn't always on our side and of course time, but still we experienced and admired our mountains' beauties. For me personally nicest ascent in August to Prisojnik, Šija, also from Ciprnik the view was godlike, as I call it. Unfortunately some tours in rain and fog.
Since we're remote it's hard to decide where to go, as forecasters can't be fully trusted.
Lots of nice experiences and safe steps I wish all in 2010. Nada

This year I started and ended with hikes in my home Pohorje. I also did (with wife or family) 8 ascents over 2000 meters, among them e.g. Triglav, Stenar, Prisojnik, Grintavec, Ojstrica, in between also some smaller ascents.
I also cycled a lot mainly in Pohorje.
For me 2009 is one of the most successful years so far regarding hiking and cycling.
I too wish all hikers and others safe steps and many beautiful experiences in 2010.

For me this year means a kind of return to the mountains. After quite a few dry years when I visited hills only by bike and Ratitovec which I have at my doorstep, this year I headed to mountains around Bohinj and Bovec. For the icing on the cake or rather the climax I added Viševnik in the snow and thus after several years climbed back to 2000 m. For next year, my wishes are a bit higher.
I too wish everyone much health and joy and as many nice moments and enjoyment in the mountain world as possible! HAPPY 2010!

My partner and I also hiked quite a few mountains this year from Grintovec, Košutica, Begunjščica, Stol to Škrlatica, Bovški gamsovec,.... In 2010 I hope we can conquer Triglav and many more peaks. We wish you plenty of health and as many beautiful and safe paths as possible in the coming year; maybe we will meet on the path sometime.

I spent 30 days in Slovenian mountains in 2009 (Razor, Krn, Kočna, etc.), the most so far. I hope next year will be as successful too. To all hikers I wish many days in mountains and health in 2010. Thanks also to all who encouraged me with descriptions of mountain conditions to go to the mountains.

On the last day of this year I sought clear sky and found it on the webcam at Sveti Višarji. Trbiž area had sun, just needed to find snow, I drove to Ukve and to former Nordio Deffar hut (catastrophic thunderstorm end of August 2003 destroyed the hut). With skis along forest track on path 507 towards Pleccia saddle, then via planina Acomizza to chapel of Our Lady of Snow and to Bistriška planina - Freistriz alm. Return via planina Acomizza past Rotonda chapel, and path 507A back to start thus completing 170th tour this year. Looking at notes now at year end I see 76 ski touring ascents done, 39 times Carnic Alps, rest mostly Western Julians, Naborje mountains, 12 times up Triglav preferably winter, sadly only once in Austria on Hochalmspitze, with Triglav friends and supporters fought battle for Aljaž tower imposed by PZS presidency, for now we won, new fight if needed. You read and saw photos of almost all tours. Though long more alpinist than hiker, hribi.net was pleasant except rare cases, but time to decide so triglavski bids farewell end of year. Farewell dear lady hikers and hikers, lady alpinists and alpinists, friends and "mountaineering friends" wish rich mountain experiences, firm safe step, above all much luck wherever path leads in our and foreign beautiful mountains. Happy 2010

Crossing Vrh Krnice in Loška stena, ascent J ridge Dolkove špica and crossing Pihavec return via planina Zajavor were highlights of summer season. Also defended Aljaž as Triglavski wrote. Excellent Ušje tour late autumn. Plenty ski tours too. Ski Možnica, Zadnjiški ozebnik, Venediger and gully Palm-Zelenjak Austrian side were peak of winter season. In between winter summer sea of various tours from pathless scrambling to various gullies approaches. And several "trips" using day fully....

Although somewhat less into mountains this year, I still have quite nice memories of some easier ski touring outings, ascent to Mangart with our pet, Paklenica in May and August and vacation in Trentino where we climbed easier route (Torre di Sella) and some ferratas on Roda di Vael and Sasso Piatto. Great variety of individual areas but always common starting point and connecting thread. I must admit Humar's death touched me somewhat this year.....

I also hope I misunderstood Triglavski's sentence?! I forgive him absence from forum only if he writes book with his path descriptions. Triglavski since given to explore mountains so much it is nice that you share some with us and provide useful descriptions and helpful infoNo way....

I had quite a few nice hikes (Hanzova on Prisojnik, Jubilejna, Razor, Stenar and Križ, Turska gora, Kalški greben, Kalška gora and more could be listed) but the nicest were still the easier ones with my little ones. Lots of health and luck at home and in the mountains!
