Yesterday we drove a bit and walked a bit to collect 3 SPP stamps. First we strolled around Hleviška planina, then went towards Sivka and finally to Bevkov vrh.
Our youngest is approaching half of the SPP, his mom lacks only the last "primorski" 5 SPP points.

Today I was on Hleviška planina and must say compared to weather forecast it was quite super.
But have to note that the trail is poorly marked  for someone who doesn't walk there often (like me for example).

We skipped the initially planned path through Kodrov Rovt because it's still officially closed. We chose the hunting path which is fixed, the lower pics show the extent of the natural disaster. In some areas no tree without damage.

On the path to Vojsko it's much worse than at this end, there it's really like end of the world, all trees on the ground, practically no forest left, you can't believe it if you don't see it live.

hello, we were today at Bevkov vrh, the path ahead didn't tempt us, because devastation started right after village end. We went from Sovodenj, then steeply up, you go a bit by nose along the ridge, you see the trail but it's not followable. Mostly branches on path, not trees, so walkable.

yesterday 29.05.2014 went to Hleviška planina via hunting path, return through Kodrov rovt. Both paths normally passable, mountaineering club and volunteers did great removing ice storm aftermath. Well, if anyone wants to see up close nature's power and what ice broke, recommend hunting path. Crazy...some forest parts gone, all that was vertical now horizontal. So all paths to Hleviška planina normally passable, sometimes dodge a bit, step over tree, bend...but basically no problems.

Retirees of PD Škofja Loka explore also somewhat more remote and less known places in Slovenia. This time we drove from Idrija on a winding, narrow road to the highest lying place in Primorska - to Vojska. We viewed blooming meadows, cross-country ski center and wonderfully arranged guesthouse at Grošeljevih. Then we hiked the entire ridge of Hleviška Planina on marked path and descended to the hut on Hleviška Planina. They even opened it for us. From there we went past the scout home to Idrija.

Praiseworthy that you visited us. I also like to go to somewhat less known places and peaks. Last year I was on Lubnik. Nice.
