Yesterday the Thursday retirees group of PD Škofja Loka conquered the peak of Holy Trinity. The hike isn't too long nor steep. We had a wonderful beautiful, sunny and warm autumn day. The church had open entrance doors, so we could peek into its interior. Down we went by another path. We celebrated the hike in Postojna at Erazmes as we have several times this year.

It really is beautiful up there. Today we were there too. Start from the Eco Museum in Slovenska vas, past Petelinjsko jezero (which isn't there now) up the left side. Soon we dug into the slope and snow. All along wonderful views on Kamnik Alps, Karavanke, Julian Alps, Nanos, Golake, Vremščica, Slavnik, Snežnik and in the distance Učka. We had the honor of making the first track from this side, most actually go over Poček or from Trnje. Up top warm, sun, even more views, nice church - quite big. Crusty snow, up on the slope along the hillside before the church it's drifted up to 40 cm. Path is followable, visible, no major orientation issues except some poorly marked forks. A friendly gentleman also explained to us how to get back to the car at the Eco Museum over Trnje. Wasn't hard, the down path is trodden. Enthused.

Exploring nature on two wheels! 🌲

This time I'm heading to Pivka, where a real adventure awaits me! With my e-MTB I'm exploring vast forests and mysterious corners of this unique place. I visit two intermittent lakes – Palško jezero, which spreads in a basin at 546 m above sea level and at higher water level reaches an area of about 1.5 km², and Petelinjsko jezero, located at 531 m above sea level, at highest water level reaching depth 5–7 m and area 55 ha.

At the top of Holy Trinity, rising 1106 m above sea level, breathtaking views in all directions and a wonderful church await me, giving this place a special mark. But the adventure doesn't end here! After the ascent to Veliki vrh, I test myself on the edge of the Poček military polygon, where the terrain is very interesting.

Join me on this bike expedition and discover the beauties of nature, diverse terrains and unforgettable views. If you're an MTB lover, nature, hiking and exploration fan, this recording is just right for you!

We start at the road junction before the entrance to Vlačno valley. Up we go first along the road to Vlačno and then left on the mountain path to the top. Snow actually starts already in Trnje village and since we're going right into it, energy consumption is high. At the top the bora shows its teeth, so we take shelter in the church's windbreak. We descend towards Slovenska vas, but only to the forest road, along which we return to the starting point. Currently the tour could also be done with touring skis (except the last 300 m).

The summit is windswept3
Descent a bit off-trail4
