Today I had our Tadej as guide,
I can write the guy is top-notch as it gets. nasmeh

Weather just right for St. Trinity visit,
views all around, all perfect scores. nasmeh
The night rain has frozen on the trees.1
Fog in the valleys, the sun smiling above.2
There in the background Nanos rises above the fog.3
There are extraordinarily many hazels here.4
Higher up there was not so much damage from glaze ice.5
And the sun will soon be at its lowest this year.6
But no foxgloves....7

Holy Trinity is such an attractive and panoramic peak that even this year with friends we decided to visit it. This time route: Slovenska vas - Petelinje Lake - Holy Trinity summit - Vlačno - Slovenska vas

Yesterday from the starting point Vlačno to the summit, descent in the direction of Slovenska vas, but we turned earlier onto the road back to the starting point.
At the end, a walk to Petelinjsko Lake.

On Sunday we went from Slovenska vas to Holy Trinity. Everywhere around mists dragged over peaks, Trinity bathed in sun all the time. Somehow I expected more people on the path than there were. There is a stamp on top, but it's hard to discern. We descended to Vlačno parking and then continued on the road to the car.

On Sunday we headed to St. Trinity. We parked almost 3 km behind the village of Trnje, where we come across a signpost and footpath. Before that there's another junction and signpost for the summit, but that one goes along the road.
The path moderately ascends through grasses and bushes, then turns into a pine forest. The summit itself is grassy and here the path is the steepest, but you soon reach the top.
The summit offers nice views of the Primorska and far into the interior up to the Julians and KSA.
There's a stamp on the monument, which is calling for replacement.

So few posts on this side, you can't help but post your own trip, since you ventured into Martin Krpan's land. I only knew the legend roughly, but Jože provided me with details of the story that revived my memory of it. And we had to talk, because the path was solitary and quite suitable for some unpleasant encounter e.g. with a bear. We didn't meet anyone to the top, only one runner, who hardly countsnasmeh. But our thoughts proved justified a bit below the top, as we came across really suspicious tracks in the snoweek.

We did a circular tour, up the path from Slovenska vas, down the path towards the village of Trnje, but just before it to the right towards our starting point. So we covered a good 2 km of path on the gravel road, but it wasn't hard, since when you're somewhere for the first time, the path is worth all attention. We spiced up the ascent with a climb to the neighboring summit Lonica, which is a couple of minutes away and a few meters higher.

Oh and this, Petelinjsko jezero is empty at this time, no water, only dry grass that barely hints it could be different there. Yes, the other lakes in the area are also empty, consequence of lack of snow and rain. A year ago, when we came for viewing, it was completely different. That was a pity, yes.

And this interesting read:

well, so it holds that this is not only Krpan's land, but also bears'. The feeling didn't deceive either.
Possibly now, when there will be fewer people in nature, they will spread further inland, e.g. to our partseek.

ločanka,
bears are not a problem currently. The prescribed distance is at least 1.5m, they don't have paws that long, not even with claws eek

Pictures of such hikes really don't harm anyone. Everyone decides for themselves anyway if they'll go on this path. They really brighten up many people's days when they're forced to stay home. nasmeh

Some Saturday snapshots from the nice path to Sv. Trojica starting from Slovenska vas. There was still some snow on the path, but it doesn't hinder the hike itself.

Nice mountaineering greetings.
