Today we set off from Vrbiški dol (it is located after 8km drive from Ilirska Bistrica towards Sviščaki) towards the mountain hut on Kozlek. It is one hour of walking to the hut on an easy occasionally quite scenic path. The path is dry and somewhat muddy in places. Best regards Esther and Tadej

I'm more interested whether the piglet doesn't attack anything?

And was that piglet accidentally on the path, or is it a domestic animal at the hut. If it was accidental, then not really cool... Regards

Those piglets in the pictures were fenced in so they couldn't attack. The younger piglet was curious and wanted to come over the fence to us, the bigger ones quickly ran away. The path we walked was dug up in several places by wild boars. In nature, animals usually retreat, exceptions are females with young, which can attack if we scare them.

I went on this path last spring and it smelled so wonderfully of pine resin. Beautiful view of the valley from the top, and in the hut a friendly caretaker. lp,Vanja

flapho Don't you know pasqueflower yet, check Donačka gora and Boč forum, this is alpine or common pasqueflower, which is quite widespread in the mountains. LP!

Dear botany professor! Alpine pasqueflower (Pulsatilla alpina alpina) has a white upright flower. Common pasqueflower (Pulsatilla nigricans) has a purple bell-shaped flower, which is on the seventh picture. Lovers of flora and fauna from under Donačka gora. Nice to greet you!

I know these are two different flowers, but don't forget the small pasqueflowers.

Alpine pasqueflower is indeed white, but they often confuse Easter pasqueflower with Mountain pasqueflower

You won't believe it, but they've already written something on the web about "Slovenian" pasqueflowers. For example on zaplana.net (on the left you can also click on "Related plants")

The most beautiful among pasqueflowers is the greater pasqueflower (Pulsatilla grandis), right? LP Lajči

flapho described the route from Črnih njiv, via Ahac and Srednji vrh to Kozlek on 12.4.2010 - interested in the timing of this tour, if anyone knows? Best, Ljubica
