The year has come around (we all probably could hardly wait for it to pass as soon as possible), so it's time for a mountain inventory. Despite the longer period of limited movement (municipal borders closed in autumn, and in spring it was blasphemous to climb any peak), I visited quite a few of our peaks last year. Most often I soloed, as it's hard to coordinate good weather and the vacation time of mountaineering friends. First ascents were only a handful of peaks, since in old age I have only a few dozen unclimbed left. Of course we're talking about our two-thousanders and here are the numbers.
72 peaks, (of which about ten multiple times), among them 25 higher than 2500m
Due to the known situation I focused mainly on KSA, and visited 37 out of total 49 (known to me).
There were some extremely beautiful tours, the most imprinted in my memory are Škrlatica-Lower Rokav-High Rokav-Middle Rokav and Mala Baba-Vel. Baba-Vrh Žlebi-Kamen-Vrh Laške Planje-Turn pod Laško Planjo-Turn pod črnim Voglom.
I hope my legs will carry me to the hills as often as possible this year too...

I'm also satisfied with last year's summits. Quite a few new paths accumulated. The most beautiful to me was the approach from Bavšica to Bavški Grintavec over Vrh Ruš and Vrh brda and over Mali Grintavec. And that demanding descent before you reach the summit. The whole tour without a single aid. And Briceljk, Vrh Krnic, Lopa, Prstreljenik. And of course the already from last year postponed tour from Koritnica over Škrbina za Gradom to Špik. When we had already reserved stay on Špik we postponed once more. Because of me. Others could go alone but they said they wouldn't go. That we'll go all together. If not this year then next year. And we really went later. Polovnik ridge. Hiked in two parts, because it's too much if you hike the whole. I won't forget how many ticks I had. But luckily none was infectious. Interesting tour from Žaga to Velika Baba and further to Skutnik. Quite fitness demanding. And more could be found. Definitely the best are pathless tours. Still, later I decided on vaccination against tick meningitis. You never know. And quite a few snakes we saw on paths this year.

I also had some wonderful tours this year, although the list is heavily shortened due to "sick leave" of almost three months in the main season and covid of course.

- winter Vogel was thrilling, and Peca at that time
- V.Raskavec and Matajurski vrh via Jakarjev pesek on a partially snowy tour
- ascent via Poličanka and descent via Kozarska grapa were unforgettable
- long-planned ascent to Škofiča and traverse from Kala to Velika vrata also realized
- of foreign visits Säuleck (3086 m) strongly inspiring
- in the near surroundings the path through the canyon of Beli Potok a long-desired goal and finally realized

Many first-time visited local hillocks that might never have been otherwise nasmeh

Otherwise more local and only two ascents over 2000 this year. Still. Finished exploring all ridges, approaches and hidden routes in the area between Celje and Trojan. Beautiful and wild world. Three years ago only once in a lifetime on Mrzlica. Then continued with Dobrovlje, Golti and Strelovca ridge. Almost too many trips in this trio for the number of working days, but condition allowed. The planned visits in Podveža area, Lučka bela, Deska and neighbors were interrupted halfway by hassle and illness. Once a connoisseur infects you with our Savinjski ones you're of course done for at least 20 years ahead nasmeh

Wonderful season, who would remember which one in a row, even less how many will follow nasmeh

I knew it could repeat, so I hurried. Cima Dieci, Terza Piccola, Terza Media, Ferrata Simone (Creton dell Arco-Lastron di Culzei-Creton di Culzei), Cima dai Gjai-sentiero alpinistico Piero Nobile, Monte Brentoni-cima ovest, Poliški Špiki-Ceria Merlone, Monte Cimone, Ferrata dei 50 dei Clap, finale on Špik Hude police, where my friend and I made it at the last moment, since masks were already mandatory in Italy even outdoors.. In between plenty of pleasant less demanding tours with princess mežikanje

Second wave will pass easily, bike is great solution, for the third I'm prepared too, as I already have selected water surfaces in my municipality suitable for SUP and thick neoprene velik nasmeh

I never liked inventories, especially if I had to do them. The mountain one is nicer, but this year not very interesting. Due to corona there were many activities, but the "real" ones rather few.
Tone has had a great season behind him and I can only congratulate him. nasmeh

@ločanka, 43 years in a row I did them, then took a five-year break, this year switched to mountain one, which is much more pleasant, as Drago notes.
Thanks, Drago! Trying a bit to train also descents so you won't wait for me always, but with heavy backpack it doesn't go well. zadrega

P.S.; @Robson enthused me on the forum a good month ago about the peakbagger.com site (grateful to him), there I decided to record all my 'visits' over 2000m and the logging serves well as chronological record.

Let me also give the 2020 mountain inventory as an average female hiker. For my husband and me it was a record year anyway. For some years I note every tour by hand in the hiking diary and at year end can quickly sum up and relive memories ... I don't like various phone apps, husband uses "planinc" app.

Local scene:
this year I managed (unplanned) 70x to jump to Hujska, my nearest hillock, and 25x to Sv. Križ above Kališe, second nearest hill. That's more recreation during the week.
We got to know new peaks and paths in near surroundings:
- Erblc above Sorica
- Jelovica with Dražgoška gora, Britmanca, Bela peč and Vodiška planina
- Žbajnek and Ovharn (Kačji rob)
- Blegoš even from quarry in Martinj vrh, to extend and vary the path over Črni Kal
- peaks above Soriška planina and entire Ratitovec ridge are of course great velik nasmeh

- if you decide and go on foot from home to a peak, km and elevation accumulate velik nasmeh

- Ratitovec from home still awaits us, and some more paths around ...

From the rest of hiking scene most memorable:
- 5-day tour in July through Bohinj-Tolmin mountains (slept at Črna prst, planina Razor, at Krn lakes and hut under Bogatin), weather changed plans, so continued next weekend ...
- weekend tour to Prehodavci, over Komarča through Triglav lakes valley, next day to Kanjavec and down Za Kopico valley back to Bohinj
- one-day tour from Blato up Za Kopico valley to Zelnarica and along ridge to Mala Tičarica and via pastures back to start - this somehow season highlight, as that day weather, views, our condition, feeling etc aligned ... Wonderful, unforgettable tour, treat for body and soul! nasmeh

- always like to go to Jezersko and surrounding panoramic peaks, and for mineral water
- Košutnikov turn also tour to repeat
- annual vacation in Kranjska gora usually full of conquered peaks and we still don't run out of goals around, but this year didn't go across border to nearby Italy and Austria ...

My wishes ahead?
Currently, to use this snow as much as possible for cross-country skiing and some winter tour. mežikanje

To have as many free weekends with husband as possible when we can go to hills together.
Vacation in Kranjska gora with new conquered peaks, say Jerebica, Prisank, ...
Some multi-day tour:
- Krn, which escaped us again;
- dreaming for years about Kriške pode and local peaks, but last year couldn't book hut, always full;
- and dream of ascent via easiest route to Jalovec with night at Špičje, for more time to enjoy ... We went to Zavetišče once and then Jalovec attracted me, as my father planned it for decades back, but sadly died that year. But he took me to Triglav before and infected me with hills - so I'd like to go to Jalovec in his memory ...

Interesting topic, so I'll add my 2020 hiking statistics. Due to specific year, walked a bit more than previous years:
- 130 tours
- total 1316 km hiked
- total 117 km elevation
- 9 beautiful 3000+ (Keeskopf, Böses Weibele, Hochschober, Hoher Prijakt, Niedriger Prijakt, Sas Rigais, La Varella, Hoher Perschitzkopf and Glödis)
- 51x 2000+
- sadly only 4 tours in Karnics (Creta Collina, ridge traverse Monte Crostis, Polinik and Monte Chiavals)
- wonderful West Julian Alps (Monte Cimone, Monte Cregnedul, Punta Plagnis, Koštrunove špice, Montaž, Špik Hude Police,..)
- craziest tour of the year in November: Kamniška Bistrica - Bivak pod Skuto - 3 Rinke - over Sleme - past Bivak pod Gintovcem - even sunset on Grintovec - KB.

Hope 2021 more abroad again nasmeh

If two years ago the main obstacle to my hobby was closed municipal borders, last year it was injury. Despite strongly 'shortened year', I shouldered backpack (or belted kidney bag) 73x. Interestingly, that added up to almost exactly 73 elevations and thus conquered 96 peaks. Of course multiple times on some (Slivnica, Velika planina, Triglav, Grintavec...), first time on ten.
If I manage to regain at least some condition, my silent goal this year - century. Also planning to finish '2000+ project' adding at least 10 new to current 361.
Healthy, above all safe New Year 2022 to all hill climbers!

I'm also quite satisfied with last year's ascents. No falls luckily. But you never know what's waiting. Fun fact, last year I hiked most tours in male company. And with the dog. Only on Korenovi we two were with ex-colleague. Won't forget ascent to Rodica from planina Podkuk via path E 7, where on descent we pushed through scrub that seemed endless. And there at the trough where we filled water, Marijan probably caught mouse fever. I remember mice swarming on the path then. He said he wouldn't wish it to anyone. Mainly we walked pathless. Those are the nicest paths at least for me. And demanding. Trentski Pec, Kaluder, Kota 676. And more left for this year, if possible. Safe and happy to all.

Given that this forum also posts trips to Šmarna gora and similar, I counted all similar runs and hikes as well. In total in 2021 I had 206. Sometimes even two activities in one day.
PS. I'm not a retiree, during the week it was all after work or before work.

My hikes in the hills were mostly in the afternoon after work, in 2021 I managed 275, on my home Jelenkamn I got to 200 entries this year. I hope this season will be the same or even better. Good luck and stay safe. Regards

Since I'm a prisoner of the corporate world and always in time pressure, my mountain visits are limited to occasional free Sundays and shorter afternoon walks. But since last year due to covid I didn't have to fly around so much, I still managed to put together a record 53 trips for me, on which I walked 482 km, ascended 24 km and conquered 130 peaks for the first time. Half of them are low Dolenjska hills, some were a bit higher, including 9 two-thousanders. Quite a few paths were off-trail, which I somehow prefer to marked paths.

Plaski Kuk stayed particularly in my memory, as it was a great combination of a wonderful sunny autumn day and beautiful nature, while for 2022 I mainly want a repeat of 2021 (heh, probably one of the few nasmeh

), and if I manage to step on Škrlatica too, it would be great.

My log didn't fill up too much last year, but I'm still very happy that among other things, after many years of wishing, I managed to step on Rakova špica zadrega

For this year I wish Italians wouldn't close the border and I could climb the two missing špika up there above the ledges nasmeh

The year is around and with it this topic. We got rid of the covid curse, but personally I got something worse. The injury healed very slowly and I was only able to do fairly normal mountain hiking by mid-summer. zadrega

When in spring due to long inactivity I was completely out of shape, nearby Velika planina came to help, where last year I 'ground' my knee 42 times and returned to the valley by cable car just as many times because of it. Due to stiffness I managed to step on only one unconquered two-thousander. Well, despite the poor 'harvest' I ended at 146 kilometers. This year's bold plan is two hundred, of course if legs cooperate nicely with the head. nasmeh

Indeed the curse passed by. May it never return. I haven't experienced anything like that in my life, and I'm not short on time in this world. Especially with that curfew, which I think was in their heads, you know whose stupid choice. Marijan and I won't forget the trip to Vrh nad Škrbino. In winter conditions. I didn't post here because those enthusiasts would lynch me. Because of the curfew, since I got home exactly at eight. And so no one thinks, I had papers in order, if anyone stopped me. No one did. I must say, over the two years. I mean, the trip was royal. Great weather. Unrepeatable. And all the others too. Mostly off-trail. Good choice of all three where we walked. Maksi was sometimes with us. We chose demanding paths. Long ones. Twelve-hour ones. Some were such that we were alone on the path with the dog. And interesting meeting with Tonet, whom I really didn't know. Now I know one more peak. We have new paths studied for this year, if everything is ok. I always say, when you're there you see and know the conditions. True as they say, You're not entitled to anything. Because everything that exists, exists in its essence. You can only allow it to be present in you too. You see where you are not. If you're nowhere you see everything. Only through colorless glasses can you see everything in true colors, says Andrej Grabnar. And good luck to all well-meaning.
