When October sun shines on larches, all their true beauty is revealed. Man just gazes and rejoices, for that's the joy the heart desires. Even a painter would find his work here, his canvas would bloom from all this. As always all beauty passes quickly, fortunately photos or pictures preserve our memories.

I think this was the last sunny autumn day of this year.

On the route from pl. Blato - pl. Krstenica - Jezerski Stog - pl. v Lazu there is no more snow even for a snowball.

Has anyone gone to Jezerski Stog from Vodnik hut at Velem Polje? Where is the most suitable path and how long does it take? Thanks...

From Veliko polje to the pasture below Mišelj vrh. There you stick to the left path towards Jezerski saddle (right goes to Mišelj saddle to Prevalski Stog or towards Pl. in Lazu). From Jezerski saddle to the summit 15 - 21 minutes, to the saddle from Veliko p. good hour.

Thanks, Zokica! Is the branch for Jezerski saddle marked? What is the path like? Is it marked, equipped with protections - or easy...? How about from the other side - from the junction at Na zagonu to the saddle between Krsteniški and Jezerski Stog and then up?

On the Pl. below Mišelj vrh from the direction of Veliko p. you keep only to the left at the last collapsed shepherd hut. The path is nicely trodden and easy, no protection needed anywhere. Otherwise, you have Jezerski Stog in view from Vodnik all the time (if there is no fog, of course). The other side of Jezerski saddle is Pl. Jezerce (drinking water), 20 min descent from the saddle. From Pl. Jezerce, after half an hour of moderate walking, you reach Pl. Krstenica. If you wanted to go to Prevalski Stog by chance, you can also hop to Adam and Eva. In good weather, the views from all mentioned peaks are really magnificent, especially towards Veliko polje with Tosc and Vernar in the background and, of course, Triglav, Rjavina, Mišelj vrh, Škednjevec, Debeli vrh... Good luck!

Today from Vodnik hut to Jezerski Stog. 1.45. Beautiful path, no climbing at all. Recommend. From Vodnik hut right below the hut descend to Veliko polje pasture and straight ahead towards Jezerski Stog. All the time just follow the well-trodden path to the saddle, then left to the summit. There (and many times in between) enjoy the view... At Vodnik hut - attention!!! Prices do not match those set at PZS level. Obviously they are an independent republic there. I think it's a shame for the society and PZS!

On 1st September there was also beautiful warm weather, which my friend and I used for a hike to Jezerski Stog. From Blato pasture to Krstenica and then to J. Stog. Wonderful pasture, from which there was a very nice view of Bohinj mountains, also Krn posed nicely and all peaks on the way to Velska dolina. Best regards Sonja
