Today I headed to Kremžarjev vrh (1164 m), more precisely to the westernmost part of Pohorje. The weather was gorgeous, but it looked more like spring than wintervelik nasmeheekzavijanje z očmimrk pogled

Today I was with wife and kids on Kremžarca, path without snow but with a lot of mud. Start at 11.30 in Gradišče(SG) finish 14.30, nice and slow since no point rushing kids up the hill.

Today hikers and lady hikers from PD Velenje, PD Mislinja, PD Slovenj Gradec and PD Dravograd participated in the 19th hike along the Šisernik path (from Dravograd to Kremžarjev vrh). Start was at 07:20 in front of the bus station in Dravograd, goal around noon at the hut (1102 m) below Kremžarjev vrh, those who wanted continued to the summit (1164 m). Many hikers participated, about 350 of us. Not much snow, but very icy, so caution is advised, use of crampons highly recommended!!
Most of us descended towards Slovenj Gradec, which is 1 hour walk from the hut below Kremžarjev vrh.

Description:
Planinsko društvo Slovenj Gradec organizes every year a group hike along the Šisernik memorial path. Timing-wise it's a winter hike. Basically the last Saturday in February. Every hiker gets a bronze memorial badge for three participations in the organized hike, silver for six and gold for ten. Individual proves presence on the hike with stamped ID card.

Jožeta Šisernik memorial path leads from Dravograd to the hut below Kremžarjev vrh and is intended for hikers crossing Pohorje, and all who want to get to know the western part of the range. The path is about 15 km long, only above Dravograd (Bukovje) and below Kremžarjev vrh it rises steeply, the rest of the path is quite flat. The path mostly follows ridges and offers excellent views of Mislinja valley with Plešivec and Peca in the background, Košenjak above Dravograd, Trbonjski jarek and lower farms.

Where is the best place to start the path to Kremžarjev vrh? I'm mainly interested because of parking.

In Slovenj Gradec you could find some parking, then to Kremžarca it's 2 hours.

Or you can drive a bit higher towards Belvij in direction of Gradišče, there you could also find some parking spot, in Slovenj Gradec now I don't know exactly where would be most suitable, except of course in front of some Hofer or Lidlvelik nasmehmežikanje

On Palm Sunday I ascended from Gradišče near Slovenj Gradec to Kremžarjev vrh (1164 m). The weather was rather cloudy, only here and there the sun peeked from behind the clouds. Otherwise just the right day for hikingbiggrinsmilewink

20th jubilee Sisernik hike
25.02.2012. Today we participated in Sisernik hike to Kremzarica. The hike took place in quite warm weather, so the path was quite muddy. Early hikers had some ice at the beginning. The path was well marked, at key spots there was also a safety rope. We returned the same way back to the car Lp.

I also joined yesterday's 20th anniversary hike along the Šisernik trail. We started at 07:10 in the morning, arrived at the hut below Kremžarjev vrh at 11:40. As the previous one mentioned, the path was icy in places, many hikers put on crampons for easier walking. During the hike we stopped at the farm at Sv. Danijel above Dravograd, where they treated us to mulled wine, tea, homemade bread spread with fresh cheese, homemade sausages and grumpi, and štravbe were not missing eithernasmeh We definitely fueled up well for the rest of the trail ahead (especially I had quite a bit more walking aheadvelik nasmeh). When I reached the summit I got my control card stamped, then chatted a bit with other hikers and quickly headed first to Kremžarjev vrh, then decided to continue towards Planinc hut. After a good hour of walking I arrived at Planinc hut, where in good company of Vuzenica mountaineers, I refreshed with tea, excellent cookies and štravbe. Around 2:30 pm I continued walking towards Sv. Primož on Pohorje, arriving at 15:20. From there to Vuzenica is another good hour. I finished the hike in Vuzenica at 16:30. All in all I walked for over nine hours.

Since our youngest is diligently collecting SPP stamps, we headed to Kremžarjev vrh today and thus completed Pohorje. Then we drove by car to Poštarski dom under Plešivec and further to Ivarčko jezero, where there was real fun. So as not to drive the same way, we went home past Andrejev dom on Sleme.

Today Romana and I visited the caretaker of the hut under Kremžarjev vrh. The very familiar path from Gradiški križ to the hut passed quickly. We returned already in the dark, no special features on the way. Regards.

While I was in these parts anyway, I went to check the hut under Kremžarjev vrh. At the hut I helped chop a sack of onions for goulash, unbelievably without a single tear. Regards.

Just back from Kremžarjev vrh with my sister, we climbed up there with eight other hikers. The weather served us well, only a short morning shower surprised us, then it cleared up, so it was already quite hot in the sun. Anyway, spring is in full swing and that's how it should bevelik nasmehcool.

No photos.

Hribovc, is there still a lot of snow above 1000m?
Planning a quick trip to Črni vrh and back on Saturday or Sunday. Let me know if you're coming alongnasmeh

Snow in the westernmost part of Pohorje lies only in shady spots, there's still quite a bit in drifts, but the trail is completely snow-free. On Kope, Črni vrh and Ribniška it's probably a completely different story, there must be still quite a thick layer around half a meter or more. For the weekend I don't know exactly yet where I'll be, and the forecast isn't great either. Otherwise I plan to go next Saturday on occupier's day, from Slovenj Gradec to Partizanka, hope for nice weather or so. See you, are you still exploring Huda luknjo?nasmeh

Today on Kremžarca. Snow starts a bit below last pasture. On the summit about 10-15 cm of snow. No views, foggy, humid but not too bad, at least somewhat white idyll up there. Hut open through to Jan 6 also tomorrow, can go check tomorrow if someone doesn't know where to go.mežikanje
