On Saturday, 12.9.2015, we visited Kremžerjev vrh with the family. All praise to the hut keepers on the hut; let them be an example to all huts regarding friendliness, offer, cleanliness etc...

I fully join Podgorc's praises. After 14 hours of hiking, the hut keepers below Kremžarjev vrh welcomed me very nicely, offered a shower and prepared very tasty food. Of them, only good memories.

Via Šisernik path to Kremžarica.
Yesterday Romana and I joined hike from Dravograd to Kremžarica. Chose route via Bukovje which officially closed. Really would need like two hours chainsaw and little manual work to be ideal. But yesterday no major obstacles, ducked twice little and continued no problem. Path muddy and dry all way to below Kremžerica summit.

Fully agree with what you wrote about closed path. Funniest is warning for closed path already at hut below Kremžarjev vrh. "Problematic" path part is two hours away Think that path part doesn't deserve closed path label.

The hut is again normally open, on Thursday last year's keepers arrived

On Sunday on Kremžar Peak.
Weather occasionally rainy, it even snowed in between. Chatted at the hut about the new season. Trail without features.

Our youngest went for the SPP stamp today .
Ascent from Mačkov križ over the peak to the hut, back to the road via path to Šmartno and then a bit on the road.
It was quite cold, as sun and clouds couldn't agree who is boss today .

To Kremžarica via Šisernikova trail.
This year's hike was really wintry with lots of snow and a slight cold wind. The route went more along the road due to windthrow; due to the dry snow, there was quite a bit of milling underfoot.

Trail dry as pepper, except the last meadow under the hut, where there is still snow. There is also snow on the road to the hut, but cyclists have already been there.
Sadly, it must be mentioned that this year there will be no more of last year's caretakers.

Thanks. Really nice and long path with beautiful views. At moderate pace it takes good 11 hours.

Šisernikova trail (Dravograd- Kremžerca) is in very good condition. Some of the trail is newly dug, some runs along a logging track. Currently it is fully dry. In the afternoon, when the sun hits it, we encounter a bit of "mushy" base. Upper part still logging. By the hike, I think that will be cleared too.

In picture 6 you can see how good caretakers Anica and Ivi are. The place is also well taken care of. If the weather adds its bit, it's very pleasant at Kremžerica.
