As announced, end of free parking in Iška. So have coins or the easypark app with you. Otherwise the path from Iški vintgar without issues and well marked. Hut in Iški vintgar is open.

Works with SMS too. A bit before parking time expires it warns you and you can extend with new SMS. Problem is if you're in area without signal.

It's only right that they made order, what a mess it was. Firefighters had to keep order on weekends from dawn to dusk as volunteers, so some could move there with all their picnic gear (not counting hikers who just want to park).

I agree it was unsustainable, like at many other starting points. But I'll write the same for the hundredth time - parking fee is not meant to reduce traffic, it is meant for someone to cash in. Traffic is reduced by limiting it. If there's a parking fee, it's good if the collected money is invested locally (not just patching a hole in the municipal budget).

I go to Krim often, multiple times a month and sometimes multiple times a week. Never from Iška on weekends. During the week, parking at the station in Iška is mostly empty. If the goal was traffic management, parking would be charged on weekends and strictly controlled, not during the week as it deters regulars. Now the station parking is newly blocked (also weekdays) and you're forced to use paid parking. Occasional fee is no problem, but if you're a Krim visitor multiple times a month or a week, you rethink... Well, there are other free starting points for Krim for now.

Hello I am more of the opinion that if parking fee is paid (it is for maintaining parking spots, money collected by the landowner), parking cannot be at own risk, but vehicles must be insured for damage done on parking lots. And everywhere where fee is collected. Also, I wonder if parking fee goes into tax declaration or if tax is deducted or if it is just a flat rate for nicer income?

What an interesting mindset. Some drive to their hill multiple times a week by car, burn expensive gas and leave a big annual carbon footprint in nature - but the only real problem in life for them is that poor little euro that someone wants to take from them, to whom they bring their tin on his land. Not that one, done deal

You're not the first; the same thing happened to me too. I noticed it only at home. They stole my friend's laptop that she had under the seat. Right at this parking lot. Maybe the municipality that collects these parking fees should think about a camera. We would be very pleased.

Obviously we've gotten a bit used to this new reality. New hooliganism and crime at somewhat secluded parking lots. Thieves know well where the chance of being spotted by the watchful eye of the police is small.

For authorities main thing is to collect parking fee, rest apparently doesn't interest them too much...

I can only confirm that at this parking lot they continue constantly breaking into cars. Yesterday, unfortunately, us too.

Just for info I'm curious - did you have anything 'interesting' in the car in plain sight? Or did they break in just to check if there's anything inside?

Definitely notify the authorities! Multiple times so they get fed up!
