Just for info I'm curious - did you have anything 'interesting' in the car in plain sight? Or did they break in just to check if there's anything inside?

Definitely notify the authorities! Multiple times so they get fed up!

Kafetarca, absolutely nothing. Everything was "hidden" in the trunk. Zokipoki, we did.

In little China they have cameras mounted every three meters. If the police rummaged through all that junk they track down, like in the seventies, eighties, many would think twice before doing this mischief.

Back then they stole other stuff, bikes, mopeds,... Not many cars available. Despite the "rummaging".

Well... those were different times. Today criminals have more rights and would get compensation in case of rummaging...

Horror, what I'm reading. Now I'll worry on the way to Krim if they'll break into my place or not. Where have we come to? It's probably the result of it all that no one answers for anything or nothing happens to anyone.

The municipality collecting parking fees should be responsible. Let them finally do something for visitors' safety. Investment in video surveillance is urgently needed. This didn't happen at the old parking lot.

Such times that everyone is friendly and polite while cashing in. When it's time to provide for paid service, most are unreachable. If you're the victim, the Arabic proverb fits: "Dogs bark, caravan goes on!"

True, Tomas. Almost two decades going to Krim and it never happened (at least not that I know). At the old parking by the crossroads or bus stop, really never such situations. Probably also because houses are nearby, main road and under streetlight. Maybe the world has just changed and I don't get it anymore.

Maybe the state should pass a law holding those who collect parking fees responsible for vehicles parked there. Every merchant is responsible for the goods he sells, parking lot operators for nothing. They just take the money. Maybe the legal basis for something like that already exists, they just need to break into some lawyer's car...

The easiest is to stick up a notice "parking at own risk", then just send inspectors to fine those parking at own risk AND for free.

Can't you get from Ljubljana by city public transport? Krim is visited mostly by Ljubljana folks, right?

LPP great yeah if you want a full-day tour. Especially great to be on the bus all sweaty. To Krim I fly for conditioning, not a trip with 65 liter backpack.

A few years ago this happened to me at Žagani peč in KB, luckily just an attempted break-in into two cars. So watch out there too.

Well, to me at home in front of the block, to my buddy in front of the inn. Calm down, get rid of the car and use public transport. Otherwise you'll spend your whole life just watching the car like our lucky one.

Probably that's best. My last one I had unlocked 3.5 years (broken lock), nothing missing. Times when they stole car radios from Fiats are gone. They seemed more tempting than today's.
