Today from Krnica over Kriška stena to Križ. Before entering the wall there's still a very wide and steep snowfield, highly recommend using an ice axe. We didn't have it, so we made steps and went very carefully across, but it's a bit tricky right before reaching the wall. Between snowfield and wall almost entire length wide crevasse with several meters deep hole below. Only access is narrow snow tongue coming half meter close to wall. Luckily it's right at climbing entrance, so somehow doable. But in my opinion snow will melt so much in coming days that even there too-wide crevasse forms and won't be possible for a while even with winter gear.

Otherwise route without features, in wall itself lots of scree, so be careful, especially descent.

Sunday 13.6 whole group went to Križ past bivouac IV. Conditions from ca 1500m wintery, snow still huge in places, didn't need ice axe and crampons, snow transformed and hard, on descent already softens a bit. Met lots of ski tourers going down valley.

Yesterday 9.7.2022 we visited Bovški Gamsovec and Križ. Start from Vrata via Luknja. Returned via Sovatna. Weather very nice, at times needed windbreaker, quite windy. Wonderful views, lots of visitors. Tour spiced by meeting chamois.

Yesterday on Križ from Vrata. And must say it has right name. From viewpoint deep sinking slush awaited, sun peeked through clouds adding to sauna and my cross-like sweat. With skis still pushed higher and near summit decent snow conditions. At one o'clock skied down valley. Midway bivouacked half hour due real snow slab. Towards bottom 'revenge' plowed slushy slopes to forest edge. Sometimes that's how it is.

In the afternoon to Križ, I met no one. Snow starts around 1600m.

Below the wall snow starts and also around Triglav it started clouding up. Stayed less than an hour in bivouac. Rain/thunder subsided and go to Križ, descend other route.

The wish was to climb Kriška stena again, since many years have passed since the first and at the same time last ascent nasmeh

, it was a couple of years after finishing high school. And since both haven't been on Križ for a long time, it was immediately chosen as the next goal.

But Kriška stena is still as crowded as it was, fixed cables have been added which weren't there on my first visit. I think there were pitons, but only as samples. Markings have also been renewed along the path, already down on the scree. Still, great caution is needed on the path, nothing has changed there.

), we chose Vrata valley for the return and then comfortably went by public transport.
