I'm interested if anyone has been on the mentioned tour in the last few days. What's the condition on the road to planina Blato - is it drivable by car? How far can you get? What about to planina Krstenica - is it trodden or are there any ski tracks? Thank you very much for the information.

I leave the car in Stara Fužina and head to Vogar. The trail is dry, snow starts from the viewpoint onwards. The hut on Vogar was open those days due to the holiday, otherwise open on Saturdays and Sundays. I go along the road to planina Blato and then on the hunting path to planina Krstenica. Snow didn't sink in the morning, but on return it did. On Krstenica it was warm, quite hot, without a breath of wind. During the break two touring skiers joined me who had skied from Hribarice.
We sat long in the warm sun, didn't feel like going back to the valley. But we set off anyway, I went on foot, those two a couple of turns and I don't see them anymore, real enjoyers. I return to pl.Blato and then straight down the road to Stara Fužina. The road is snowy and very icy. Drivers just push with cars on such a road, you can't believe how far they all drive. It was another nice day, all the best to everyone.

Hi!

Does anyone know the condition of the path from Stara Fužina over Voje to Planina Krstenica?

A few years ago someone wrote that it's poorly marked, which can be a problem in the upper part in winter.

Thanks and best regards!

Conditions on the path without peculiarities, but disappointment on the pasture with the "mountaineers". Everyone brings their home habits to the mountains too.

At the start of the hunting path at Planina Blato there's a sign that the path is impassable due to bark beetle and storms. In the lower part there is actually quite a bit of fallen trees on the path, detours are made but not always the easiest. Once you practically have to go on knees under a trunk. From there on, where the path joins from the right from the cart track (which is torn up and muddy), problems are much less, as the path is cleared and you just have to step over some trunks here and there. But it's really sad to see all those magnificent spruces lying around...

Yesterday from Stara Fužina via the path that branches off at Koča na Vojah. The path hasn't been walked this year yet, in the upper part it gets lost due to new avalanches. Some fallen trees but generally no problems. Caution needed due to leaves. Markings followed without issues. Buried tractor by the path waiting for a strongman to pull it out of the mud.
Back to the valley via planini Zgornja and Spodnja Grintovica. Shame the path isn't marked, because it's very nice.

Hello, I'm interested if anyone knows the path from Planina Blato towards Planina Krstenica called Bušnica?

Specifically, it's a path that's marked and named on hiking maps here on hribi.net and elsewhere. But I can't find any report about this path. Once I searched for it under snow and of course didn't find it. Mainly interested if this path even exists and how demanding it is.

You can see the path here: http://www.pespoti.si/izlet.php?id=20386

I haven't searched for this path yet, but in winter I met two guys who wanted to descend it and gave up. Then I googled a bit (rather poor results) and got a report from a colleague who walked through there. There is no path across Bušnica, but the terrain is obviously passable.

We planned to descend through there after crossing all the Stogi from Ogradov and dropping to the Laz-Krstenica traverse. Nowhere did we notice any pathlet in that direction, so we made a detour over Krstenica. Nearby we met a group of hikers and one of them described where this half pathless descent goes along nasty passable steep scree with slippery wet stones. I think it's really not recommended and therefore little used as such, although it shortens the path to Blato.

Bušnica is suitable for ascent, not for descent.

Thanks for the information. Tomorrow I'll see if I can find the path and if it's passable at all. I'll report.

Today I visited the beautiful Planina Krstenica. The path to the pasture itself isn't marked with signs or Knaflič marks, so many have trouble accessing it. From Planina Blato there are two options. We can go straight along the forest road that brings us to the pasture. A kind of hunting path, if I may call it that, starts right behind the parking at Planina Blato. Above the road a good trodden trail -with even fixed cables- leads us high above Planina Blato towards Krstenica. This trail crosses a quite bad forest road twice. The path is marked with red lines at a few spots. We pass the hunting hut and soon reach the start of the pasture. All along we walk in pleasant shade. On the pasture they graze and hay. On the pasture itself there are cows being milked. Pregnant cows graze on the neighboring Planina Jezerce. We'll really have to pay 12 euros for the path, but it's worth it.

After two years back in beloved Fužnarske: from Blato over Krstenica to Jezerski Stog, from fog to sun. It's a few days since the trip, so just two generally useful (sadly unpleasant) infos:

Bohinjci at the parking before the barrier (right after S. Fužina) now charge not just 3 EUR for whole day, but 1.50 EUR per hour! Optimizing/switching from more cars to fewer was still very sensible (you save nothing; but reduce the really wild load on upper parkings).

Storm damage remediation continues in full. Now not just the area above Planina Blato is churned up. On the contrary: Little roads and tracks continue high towards Krstenica! No more idyllic solitary hunting path! Orientation is much harder. Sincerely hope that after all sacks of money for storm remediation, some remains for fixing these radical interventions.
The hunting path to Krstenica is unrecognizable in places.1

What the predecessor wrote holds, also no order at the mentioned parkings where there's space for limited number of vehicles.

Hello!
Well, these radical interventions are really radical and worrying at first sight. But don't worry, in a couple years everything will overgrow. I know from own experience. Also on my forest parcels it was desperate years ago, now when I look no more previous devastation visible.

Best regards Swiss and safe in the mountains!
