... that also in Dom na Krvavcu they do not allow eating a snack ... I haven't had such experiences yet, it interests me where else this happens too, it really surprises me. On the PZS website I read the regulations and house rules that huts and homes must have, but nothing like that is mentioned anywhere. It would be good if mountain visitors knew their rights (I already know quite a few of them) and so my bad experience with the caretaker at Smrekovcu encouraged me to look into the PZS regulations, where it says that it is even the duty of the caretaker to give you information about paths, huts ... Of course I go to the mountains with joy and optimism and in the conviction that the vast majority of caretakers are just as we want them to be. Best regards!

I add one more piece of information, that Dom na Krvavcu is not a mountain hut and therefore they have the right to prohibit you from having a snack in "your own regime".

Krvavec offers a lot of choices for hikes. You can drive to Dom na Krvavcu by car, but it's better to go on foot, and continue the trip to Vrh Krvavca and Veliki Zvoh. On the way you can notice a lot of cows

Today instead of lounging in home corners, I went to check Zvoh if there is any snow up there. I drive to Jezerca from Ljubljana in less than an hour. Since it's raining at 7.5°C, I equip myself in the car with Gore-Tex jacket and gloves, protect the backpack with rain cover. Of course in such weather there is no living soul in sight, only cows don't mind the light rain, so I enjoy the path even more. On the path curtains of fog and occasional gusts of wind alternate, nothing worse though. On Zvoh on the way back it already felt a bit cooler, but a few degrees less were missing for snowfall. I eat a banana and muesli bar, look around, then leisurely descend to the starting point. The hike despite the rain really did good for the soul, to absorb the vastness, views and green shades. It was just such a romantic day, as the distant Eurovision song goes "Tih deževen dan"-How well this world blends that doesn't exist...

Today I was on Krvavec. I parked at Jezerca. Especially in the upper part it was foggy, on Zvoh really strong wind. Snow is just a trace. It was a really nice morning. There were few people, as expected from the weather.

Please fix the webcam on Krvavec so that it really shows the panorama of the plateau and thus the actual weather conditions! From what the camera shows now, you really can't figure out the weather conditions.

Can someone knowledgeable suggest a two-day circular hike around and on Krvavec? Is overnight stay possible somewhere in between, in some hut, home? Thanks!

You can go to Krvavec by car up to Planina Jezerce. There is a large parking lot. Go from Cerkelj and at the end of the village Grad turn right uphill. After about two kilometers then left towards Stiška vas, before the village at the hayrack right and to Krvavec. Up there is a nice new sufficiently wide asphalted road. Or you can even take the cable car to Krvavec. Now tour suggestions. No.1- Right at Planina Jezerce go right to Kriška planina. From Kriška planina to Krvavec, below Veliki Zvoh descend to the beautiful Krvavec planina Dolge njive. There a whole herd of horses grazes. There is also a water spring which you won't find anywhere else on the entire Krvavec. Behind the planina climb to the saddle between Kalški greben and Vrh Korena. Here you can extend the tour to the top of Kalški greben-from the saddle about one hour to the top-easy and return the same way or turn right to Vrh Korena or climb via the picturesque Ježa ridge to the top of Veliki Zvoh, where there is a large reservoir lake. From there back to the start. Already on Kriška planina there are two mountain inns- offering excellent food and accommodation. You can sleep also at the top of the gondola-koča pri Rozki-Gospinec, or at the top of Krvavec and maybe elsewhere. Krvavec offers countless options for overnight. No.2 You can go to Krvavec, directly to Veliki Zvoh, over Ježa ridge, at the end of the ridge extend ten minutes to Vrh Korena, then from the top descend left to Kompotela and then after return from Kompotela under Korenom in the middle to a pleasant path over Planina Koren, somewhere in the middle the path branches to Planina Košutna and we arrive from both planinas to the start at Kriška planina. These are two I'd say six to eight hour tours. No. 3- This is more demanding- We must get to the saddle between Vrh Korena and Kalški greben-doesn't matter how. Then at the saddle direct right downhill to Kalce. The path over Kalce takes about two hours. Up we arrive at the little saddle between Kalška gora and the end of Kalški greben. Below we see Zoisova koča. Descent down takes half hour. We direct back along the entire Kalški greben. It offers everything-path in the middle with wire rope, like on Mali Triglav and descent via the known škrbina dol. It is well secured. Here we reach the top of Kalški greben and back to start. For this path helmet and climbing gloves are recommended because of the wires. For the other two tours you don't need this equipment. A whole week of nice weather is forecast. I wish lots of mountain pleasures! Krvavec surely offers them.

Early rising has once again proven more than a good decision, especially for such a crowded spot. For the icing on the cake, the old good classic: skis on backpack, on the way back joyful sliding. Otherwise start at Jezerci, road to Kriška, then directly past Plečnik chapel to Zvoha. Especially ski slope edge a bit icy, but temperatures already quite spring-like. A little enjoyment at the top, then "joyful toboggan" to the car. At 8:30 already meeting car processions, behind me more than beautiful. It's a pity only that photos can't even approximately show it. Highly recommend!

Beautiful morning on Krvavec, at 7am already +6 degrees but slopes fully frozen so skiing still excellent on the devetih slopes. Then I jumped to Smarna Gora, up there quite a lot of visitors who were basking in the beautiful weather.

Today a short hike to Krvavec from Planina Jezerce. There park the car at the large parking lot and quickly to Kriška planina where they are still happily skiing. The ski slope opposite at Kržišče is already abandoned. To Krvavec we climb the dry path above the planina. We are quickly at the chapel. Weather is sunny - views far around. Not many skiers as it's a workday.
