Yesterday after the shift to planina Dolga njiva. That's at least for me the nicest Krvavec planina. In summer the whole area of the Krvavec ski center turns into a big pasture. Now quite a lot of cattle are grazing. Of course other planinas are used for grazing too - planina Jezerce, Kriška planina, planina Koren, planina Košutna and Kompotela itself, which is nicely grassy. Sheep go to Kalški greben too. Last year I met Doverje from Ambrož at the top of Koren. This year I haven't seen sheep yet. On planina Dolga njiva a small herd of horses is grazing. Don't know whose they are; I run into them every year.

This time I head to Krvavec itself across the ski slope, where in winter skiers rush from Krvavec to Kriška planina.

In winter we will ski on groomed slopes.

This is the mighty wall of Kalški greben - we see it from the valley.

Someone was watching me. Never has a chamois waited and greeted me like this. When it tired of watching me it calmly continued on.

I would enjoy the views of the Ježa ridge.

The only flowing water in the entire Krvavec area. I think there should be another tap somewhere above Kriška planina.

At the end of the pasture is a weekend hut. There were horses there.

Today I did a nice afternoon tour to Krvavec. Since I haven't seen a description of this path here yet, I'll try to present it. It's an abandoned path from Roblek farm in Kokra to Tiha dolina on Krvavec. After about half an hour of walking on the path to Kalški greben, turn right at the rock on a small plain. On the rock there are faded markings pointing right. The path to the first scree is poorly visible; when I reach the scree a little man greets me and a nicely visible path leads me slowly right. The path goes all the way right and slowly upward. After some time it disappears, so I go straight up. Under the cliffs turn right to the passage on the ridge. Here I catch the path again, which brings me to the lower chairlift station at Zvoh. This year I have walked this path several times, each time a bit differently, because the path is really abandoned and poorly visible. After a short rest I head to the top of Krvavec and then via planina Dolga njiva and lojtre back to the starting point. Since I did the path in running gear and ran part of it, the times on the pictures are not comparable to normal walking.

I'd kindly ask for a list of stamps on Krvavec and which tour would be best to collect all?

Today just a short tour from the parking at planina Jezerce to Kriška planina and then by road to the hut at Gospinec. We went with my wife early, so at eleven on the return we beat the rain that soaked quite a few hikers and cyclists too - the valley below Krvavec was dry.

The road up to here is definitely nice. Toll is paid at the barrier. The road goes from here to Tiha dolina, where there is a hotel and the so-called Plaža. Usually one can get here. Currently I don't know, because I saw a barrier under the hut - don't kn

Now I'm already doing uphill crocus tours - why not help bid farewell to winter with this black calf.

The meadows of spring crocuses are now magnificent.

Also the little-known common alpine bellflowers adorn hidden nooks. They peek early from under the snow and like shade and moisture. Beautiful they are.

Now is also the time of Wulfen's primrose. We admire it everywhere on Krvavec at the moment.

Today from Planina Jezerce to Vrh Korena. The path to planina Koren is nicely passable, but there is still some scree on the path. From Planina onwards snow starts, about a meter at the top. The avalanche signs on Vrh Korena haven't left yet either.

Road to Planina Jezerce was dry yesterday and normally drivable.

Today on sunny Krvavec. There were loads of hikers. The parking lot at Planina Jezerce hasn't been so full for a long time.

Hut on Krvavec - unfortunately deserted - not sure exactly. In winter probably not so abandoned.

To the left of the TV tower a bit uphill is the Krvavec summit with a stamp and new logbook - praiseworthy. This is a rare practice in Slovenian mountains.

To the left of the Krvavec summit a ski double chairlift leads there.

Everything is prepared for the new ski season.

Snowmaking devices are effectively distributed throughout the entire Krvavec ski area.

The view from the top of Krvavec did not disappoint. In the middle in the background Nanos is visible.

On the right Košutna, in the middle Kompotela.

Veliki Zvoh - from there above we will descend the ski slope.

In the middle we see Karavanke - Košuta ridge.

In front is Kamniški vrh, behind is Velika planina.

On the left the summit of Grintavec is visible - on the right is Kalški greben.

The renovated mountain hut Rozka at the upper gondola station.

On the board at Rozka we can read where the name Krvavec comes from.

The good old (renovated) Rozka is no more! It burned down.

In the morning firefighters woke me up as they went past the house on Krvavec where Rozka was burning zadrega

There was quite a lot of smoke and I immediately knew Rozka was on fire when I looked at Krvavec, unfortunately it really burned down. I even checked the webcam to confirm.

Krvavec was really good yesterday for ski touring descent velik nasmeh

. Ski slopes groomed and prepared as much as possible with this lack of snow, lifts weren't running so no crowds, they supposedly start tomorrow, sunshine.. Only around noon fog and snowcats crept in and that was the end. No big deal nasmeh

Autumn on Krvavec, awaiting the winter season, deserted during the week. But maybe more visited on weekends. From Planina Jezerca a pleasant, easy ascent to the top of Krvavec, where there's also the Krvavec stamp. And then wandering the vast ski slopes. Nice! nasmeh

December is the most beautiful when you head into a snowy fairy tale like today on Krvavec, even if you don't meet Santa with his sleigh.
The last two bends to Jezerca are slushy, then on Kriška it's already snowing well, old snow completely soaked through. Snowfall with westerlies intensified to a real storm blizzard and thick fog to Marija Snežna, through which a few pairs of hardcore skiers rushed. Dom Krvavec is still being renovated, so closed, snowed in. On the north side of the hut extensive meter-deep snowdrifts formed. According to a weekend girl's story, during the thaw days it lost about 60cm. Wet mushy snow together with new southern snow will freeze well overnight and stabilize up to 1700m, higher it's already dry. Regards Rok nasmeh
