I hope as many of us as possible will participate in the action, although on this forum we're mostly people who don't litter anyway.
Above all, I hope the tunnel under Krn summit will finally be cleaned, where there are still piles of trash, although I alerted authorities two years ago, last year when I was on top again I was horrified to see not even one single bag of trash had been removed!

Yes I've already registered as a landfill surveyor, but something really went wrong with them. Namely the link to geopedio.si didn't work anymore after registration. I sent mail to their info, but no response. I walk a lot around Zreče and Slovenske Konjice area, and I'd like to contribute a bit to cleaner environment. Did anyone have similar problems?

Whoever dumps trash in nature does it out of irresponsibility or for profit, but none of them care what you all think of their actions. But interesting Slovenian naivety..... we have laws...but nobody enforces them, even though we pay those services..... ah,better we clean ourselves....it'll be all the same in a couple years....or sooner....?????!!!!!!! Nice Saturday to all Slovenes. I don't litter, still I demand responsible services do their job, from inspections to police!!

I'm thinking about helping clean mountain trails. Where will it be organized and where volunteers are needed? Because I wouldn't go crowding at Šmarna, if elsewhere there are bigger needs.

Let's go picking!!!! Because if we wait for our competent services to move their asses out of offices we'll wait a long time.
Example: last November I notify environmental inspection about illegal asbestos sheets dump. Next three months nothing happens, dump still in place. I get mad, write another letter and send it to inspection and cc to chief inspector at ministry and some bigwigs at environment ministry. After 10 days I get email where they assure me they inspected the dump albeit late, because......bla bla bla... All nonsense. Anyway they agreed with owner supposedly to remove it as soon as snow melts. I'm really curious and will check this week. If sheets still there I'll send all documentation to "world on channel A" newsroom. They are usually more effective than our insp. services.

Asbestos sheets aren't harmful at all if you leave them be and don't toss them around.
20-30 years we drink water flowing through old asbestos pipes and no one died from it yet.
Asbestos sheets aren't dangerous at all if resting and if you're not in asbestos dust. You work with them and asbestos doesn't dust. Those who thought up they need special disposal are asses like you Šerpa.
Better clean pig stuff like paint cans and such that are really dangerous not asbestos sheets.

HAHAHAH! What tricks Well, hand on heart, asbestos panels don't belong in nature either. Like waste bricks and such.
Celje folks will have the "clean Slovenia in one day" action for two whole days 
That's devotion!
But I really can't believe that as many as 13% of people wrote in the poll that they don't litter

Smidov david is an uncultured guy who insults users of this site. Even if asbestos panels aren't harmful it's not right to throw them into nature. So we won't come to throw toilet paper all over your house. That wouldn't bother you, right? Since we won't be polluting nature with it, because toilet paper is biodegradable. We'll even shit around your house to feed your flowers that need organic matter. How nicely they'll bloom.

Thanks, smidov david, for your contribution to the forum. Obviously the babies are also those classified in the regulation on hazardous substances. If that's the case I'm happily a dummy and a baby, because I believe them.
From your heated reaction I could conclude that you're maybe some environmental inspector ........you know, when you step on a cat's tail it meows, right?

Me too today instead of ski tour, joining the unique green action. At our place by the forest bumpers and other trash were already cleaned days before (I located the dump for them). Now good gloves, polyamide pants and jacket, old gojzars and happily over larger bulky waste.
Watch out not to cut your hands (tetanus), not step on bottles or that the weight of waste pieces surprises you. Let's go into action!.

We had it yesterday and I have to admit, you can't believe what trash is hidden around us
But the response from villagers is very praiseworthy, there were tons of us and accordingly the collection point is full.
The rest happily to work and CLEAN our beautiful country.

I combined pleasure with utility and attacked Dovška Baba from Dovje. On the way back I also picked up trash (probably the only one). There wasn't a lot, but it adds up. By far the most are paper tissues, which are obviously thrown away freely anywhere. I collected half a trash bag of them.
Don't throw paper tissues into nature, because contrary to (apparently) common opinion they are not even remotely biological waste and don't rot soon.

The nature protection action Clean Slovenia in one day has fully succeeded. In the Šentvid quarter community about 800 environmentally aware volunteers gathered. We removed enormous amounts of wild dumps and work on the wider terrain was in full swing. From forest edges firefighters and individuals with long cargo trailers hauled huge amounts of material! On the terrain we filled bags one after another. Batteries, clothes and shopping carts weren't missing either. We two tackled the Pržanec stream bed and surroundings of Iskra Pržanja, some Šentvid. There is so much trash that we listed and located it on maps for later. After work at 15h we from K.S. Šentvid were treated to refreshments at the canoe center in Tacen-Sava with good meat stew and beer. Here gathered all the cream of truly clean and good-hearted people, since those who pollute the environment all stayed home.
After the action coordinator's speech, it was said that in central Ljubljana they had big problems with waste removal, because collectors left waste almost on every street. But we brought waste exactly to agreed places and easy further transport. In the future I hope polluters will realize their frivolous act and at least for a day try how it is to pull all that trash out of bushes and streams. Greetings to all nature guardians!.

On one hand I'm extremely satisfied with the work done, on the other a bit disappointed what all we dragged out today. I hope it becomes traditional, because there's still a lot, lot of work. Nice to hear that there were about 250 000 of us on the terrain today, next year I hope half a million.
