Well, I'll go look at this Black Diamond one too, then decide.

I'll just take the cheapest one with 10-12 LED lights... while crawling through bushes, pathless terrain, and elsewhere such things get destroyed sooner.

For that money you won't get better currently!!! I have it and hats off to the Germans who created it!

MajaO: thanks, maybe we'll meet somewhere sometime. Where do you usually roam (with the light of course)?

Hribolazka, if you bought that light for hiking, then you overdid it a bit...

With these lights in this thread in general you seem to be exaggerating a bit... I've had quite a few very different ones and all served their purpose, even the cheapest and smallest. You don't have to be so demanding, the important thing is just that beam of light that allows a safe step (to see where you're stepping). Of course there are other things for various extremes, but I doubt one needs that for hiking in the mountains... Regards!

Hribolazka06 great light, but I think you'll have to (if you aren't already ) start doing mountain biking too. That way you can utilize this light 100%. For hiking it's a bit (too) powerful in my opinion. Anyway, may it serve you Regards

for 100€ I'd get myself a spotlight...

Jany, that is a spotlight, just a bit too powerful for hiking, plus it only shines for 3-4 hours...

My experience: Tika plus2 for two years excellently performs all tasks at a moderate price, smaller brightness excellent for walking, camping, running, I use higher brightness mainly for night descents by bike Toško, Katarina , where even at higher speeds it performs excellently , higher brightness recommended also for more demanding terrain... Small weight and size, low consumption... In short, it goes everywhere...

Report from yesterday: more than satisfied, so thanks to Mikglavž for enlightening me like that. Most of the time I had it on lower power, which is more than enough for walking. That's why the battery lasts, no overheating, in short very satisfied. Already looking forward to sledding from Ljubelj and similar antics in the evening hours. One more thing: grandpa immediately warned me he'd confiscate it for mushroom picking, he he. If you ask me, I recommend it (Magicshine MJ-808E). these are really completely different dimensions. Oh, need to buy a head mount. Apparently available for bike helmet too, but I don't need that (yet).
