🚵♂️ Divine tour through the Karawanks – epic EMTB adventure combining picturesque views, brutal ascents and adrenaline descents!
On the way I rode 50.4 km and overcame 1622 elevation meters. The route led me:
• from village Rodine (544 m),
• past the Završnica reservoir,
• up steep climb to Hut at Završnica spring (1425 m),
• through wonderful mountain valley to Hut on Zelenica (1536 m),
• then steep descent to Ljubelj border crossing (1058 m),
• and further on gravel road with average gradient 14° (up to 32° in places) to old Ljubelj border crossing (1369 m). Followed long descent to Tržič (516 m) and return on local road to start in Rodine.
🌄 On the tour I experienced everything – from divine views to hellish climbs. If interested how real EMTB challenge in Karawanks looks, check the video!

Good evening! How is it currently at "old" Ljubelj, could one at least partially sledge?

Maybe you already know the answer but anyway. Yesterday afternoon I was in these areas and saw at the parking lot quite a few happy sledders. I asked what the conditions were like and they said up top super, down below not the best.
I went to Srednji vrh and it seems to me that around Zelenica there are many more possibilities for sledding. Only in the lower part the ratrak tore to the ground, then further good snow cover
