Loke-Krvavica (through the Window)

Hello!

Anyone who decides to climb to Krvavica through the Window in these days will encounter fallen spruces across the path a few hundred meters after the start of the ascent (result of Friday's storm). You can get over them, just need to climb a little. PD Tabor is informed about the mentioned obstacle on the path and I hope it will be removed soon.

Today with my better half to Krvavica. Ascent from Loke through the Window and return the same way. We barely escaped the downpour velik nasmeh

The path is without special features.

Hi! Does anyone know if Okno is something similar to that short climbing section on Donačka gora? Is it much harder? nasmeh

Today through the Window to the top. Descent past the closed Zajčeva hut via Tesni graben to the car.
The path over Tesen graben is newly marked and in many ways reminds of the path over Hudičev graben in Celje.

At home +7C, at starting point below Krvavica +3C.

The stream where I park shouldn't be named Suhi potok. Rain and fast-melting snow have filled it well.
First I turn into the gorge of Tesen stream. Already from afar I hear merry gurgling and know what's coming. To stay with dry feet, I have to try hard. The path, otherwise not demanding, is tricky in places. It pulls me to Brložna ridge (no snow there), but schedule wouldn't fit. Going to Krvavica! SW path almost bare. Towards top westerly turns. North side on ridge and then to cck. 800m asl to 5cm snow (slightly frozen). Through window slippery!! Then two awkward spots follow, quite hard for descent. Follows muddy, slippery section. Last 15min still okay.
Careful on Krvavica!!!

Ah, what a pleasure nasmeh

This Krvavica is always nice and I really miss it. When I lived in Zasavje it was a favorite goal, often together with Čempla.

Interesting path, down I went past Zajčeva hut but not through the gorge, which the caretakers advised against in rain, but along the nice marked one around Brložna.

Krvavica 4.12.2021
At starting point by Suhi potok morning -3.5C. Start icy, muddy. With height snow depth increased too. To top icy, approx. 40cm loose snow and occasionally demanding. Greatest caution before window, through window and above it.
At top strong westerly cooling the heated body. No one gone to other side yet and seems I first broke trail. First few meters descent demanding, then not anymore.
Descended to Tesen stream gorge. This side much more snow and not trampled. Gorge icy and great caution needed in places.
Did loop in three hours. Careful on Krvavica!!

28.12.2021 Krvavica
Fog in the valley at 900m asl. Fog. Strong westerly wind occasionally blew away some curtain, but fog wouldn't give in. Trail muddy, with snow remnants and slippery. No visitors.

I wasn't on Krvavica, but last month as part of Šentjurski krog (organizer?) several markers were placed for the event (run, hike). Some markers were then removed in recent weeks, today I noticed signs at the junction via Okno thrown into the stream. I picked them up and took them to the container. At this I invite to appreciate and care for Krvavica area, as it's a declared natural monument. Surroundings with neighbors (Brložen, Čemšeniška, Presedlje, Kozica) are wonderful, although we of course trample it fully from all possible paths and off-trails.
The conditions from my (admittedly running) paths - both cart tracks from Presedlje direction and then under Čemšeniška (upper and lower) are pleasant choice for afternoon heat. Scenic meadow under Gunetova glava in afternoon shade probably nicest spot of this area. lp

I saw at least 4 signs on both banks of Suhi stream. From afar it looked like exclamation mark on the sign and I thought they use them for warning at forest logging. A bit strange scattered around zmeden

Bad organizer who doesn't clean up after himself!!

Yes, didn't get hold of organizer contact. Impression was someone got angry because they were there so long, and then knocked them down and scattered around. Probably someone else already cleaned up the rest, because I started at junction to Tesen and didn't find any others. Luckily there are many of us like that who work nicely with nature nasmeh

1.12.2022 Krvavica
At start 0 C and sleet. At beginning 1cm snow, muddy, slippery. At top up to 30 cm. Before window had to dig roots out of snow to climb over in hardest part. At top wintery, fairy-tale and NE wind. Descended other side to Tesen stream gorge. Here much less snow. Slippery, stuff flying from trees and sleet. In three hours looped back to start.
Careful on exposed spots, otherwise fine path - winter!

20.1.2023 Krvavica
Morning light snowfall quickly drives me out of the house. Parking under Krvavica is empty. A slightly trodden path awaits me, leading through Okno to the top. Under Okno over roots carefully!!!
Wire rope and pegs through Okno covered with a thin layer of ice - careful!!
Along the ridge up to 80 cm snow. Trodden to the bench, which is under snow and not visible. The descent on the SW side is slightly tricky - above the sheer wall. When I descend to the bench below, I hesitate between left (Tesen), right (Slaničar). I decide for right into the gully under Slaničar. I wade into deep snow and notice on the way that the gaiter has a torn strap. Now I know where the moisture in the boot comes from? I'm back at the starting point quite fast.

Snow up to 80 cm. At the beginning muddy, then frozen. The path is now made across the entire Krvavica. To Tesen it is still intact.
