Today it didn't all go according to plan. From Rudno polje to Jezerca and to Studorski preval. I wanted to go to Ablanca, but it was blowing so hard and lightly raining too, so I didn't go.
I was worried about how to go under VDV across steep snowfields. I made it, but through wet snow and wading I got quite tired. Under MDV the trail to Srenski preval is dry.
I went to MDV and then to Viševnik. Under Plesišče there is mud as much as you want. I prefer Viševnik in snow. Towards the end the sun showed up.

To Viševnik via dry path, continued to Mali Draški vrh and along the western ridge to the marked path. Back under MDV via Viševnik.

On Friday afternoon from pl. Zajavornik to Lipanca, where I stayed 2x in Blejska koča.
Then on Friday around 16:00 a shorter loop: Lipanca, Mrežce, Lipanski vrh, Brda and back to Blejska koča already in the dark. Weather mostly cloudy with some wind. On the short secured climbing section of the path, between Lipanski vrh and Brda, there is an annoying pulled-out piton hanging on a loose wire rope, otherwise path BP. Met only one female hiker mežikanje

Yesterday morning: Lipanca, Debeli vrh above Lipanca, Mali Draški vrh, over Srenski preval to Viševnik, Rudno polje and back to Lipanca. Nice tour, which I'll definitely repeat sometime nasmeh

Weather mostly clear and fresh in the morning (put on gloves), on summits some wind too. Path muddy in some forest sections, otherwise BP. Met quite a few Gorniki; with some it was really "fletno" to chat a bit nasmeh

This morning I descended to pl. Zajavornik already during light snowfall.
Hut keepers very friendly, and the hut otherwise (to me) very pleasant nasmeh

What do the hut keepers say, will it be open all year like in previous years when g.Joža was up there.

If I understood them right, due to some renovation works, it will be closed for some time in November; exactly when, I don't know. Otherwise, yes, it will be permanently open.

When I joined down from Mrežc even quicker for tea, the keeper was up there all the time in previous years.

This year however like this, closed end of January

Yesterday. Viševnik classic. If you're early, still no excessive crowds, during the day it's packed. Snow yesterday perfect for walking, you could go without crampons and ice axe, ideal would be microspikes and poles. Some skiers, mostly hikers. Far from ideal conditions for skiing. Further from Viševnik different story, you could count on your fingers those who pushed further. Crampons (real ones) and ice axe mandatory. Ridge to Srenjski pass properly snow-covered, sometimes sank up to your ass, scratched rocks in a few places. Last part windblown. Gully to top of Mali Draški vrh no issues, few times on rocks, otherwise solid snow for ascent and descent. We took the ridge back to Viševnik and classic to ski slope, two ahead of us traversed from pass towards VDV. If no new snow falls and nights cold, days not too warm, conditions stay good. If warm, it will slide on grass. Towards Krma already rumbling yesterday.

If you hit any bushes, it went up to your ass...

I checked my stats today and found data for Mali Draški vrh: almost 20 years from first and last visit to yesterday. Back then I knew only the summit with the stamp, from yesterday I know also the other, more demanding western summit, to which you need some effort. Well, effort is needed for the first one too nasmeh

. Now I know at least two gullies to climb or descend nasmeh

As we continued to the second summit, we noticed that the first summit had a repeat visit. Kozorog, whom we met right at the start of our path from the pass, climbed after us. He was there, at the bottom no more.

Three things stood out yesterday from the expected: beautiful pond with sparkling glacial color in the valley behind Viševnik, visit to two MDV summits and chamois sighting, which is usually not here. So continuation to Viševnik under MDV impressions. Really beautiful!
