At five Vito joins the car and we're already driving towards the lakes of Fusine. The road is empty, in the huge, free parking lot only a few cars, we leave it a little after six. Weather and conditions for walking excellent, nowhere in a hurry, under the entrance to the via ferrata after two hours of walking. It has been fantastically renovated, deserves a full ten. At the western neighbors only loose steel cables bother me, they probably already know why like that. The colleague was just screaming with satisfaction, we often stop, to the bivouac Tarvisio we walk (climb) almost an hour and a half, in complete silence we treat ourselves to a longer break with the first snack. To the first of our today's peaks, Koritniški mali Mangart we climb almost a whole hour, here of course there are much fewer metal aids than so far. Visibility super, no wind, the first cloud started to form far away, somewhere above Škrlatica. Here we decide to walk all the time on the upper path, so we could visit all the peaks to Mangart that followed: Vrh hude Škrbine 2401, Vrh Kozlovke 2473 and Vrh Planje 2495m. In between we also climbed three peaks above the path that have neither a name nor a determined elevation, one was quite tricky, as we encountered a slope with crumbly rock, there Vito's rope was welcome, where we used it to good effect.
Until the junction with the Italian path to Mangart we didn't meet (see) a single person, here as if you came to Manhattan, processions of tourists in both directions. At the top of the third highest mountain in our country at one moment up to thirty people, the sun was already occasionally hiding behind the fog above us. For the descent Vito suggested the Italian path, also for the second part, into the valley, he deprived me of the joy of going via Via Italiana....
