Hi! I'm wondering if anyone knows where I could buy the Storžič and Košuta map 1:25000? Thanks in advance for the answer.

New Tabacco map 019 Hello, new edition of Tabacco map 019 issued -year 2011- (watch that they don't sell you by mistake the 2006 edition!) ALPI GIULIE OCCIDENTALI TARVISIANO /WESTERN JULIAN ALPS. Also issued new edition of Tabacco map 027 - Kanin and surroundings, soon will be issued also map 018 - part of Carnic Alps.

Some descriptions have scanned map pieces, which may be questionable copyright-wise, but it's a shame because better universal solutions are available. Geopedia (web atlas) has a hiking map with PZS layer of paths and huts and good topo base (1:25.000, second topo tab top right). Also you can check aerial photo, though they are worst in mountains. You can view elevation profile for path sections too. Anyway, it's very useful to me for trip planning. New since last year: anyone can embed scaled-down Geopedia for free on their site like Google Maps. So I suggest showing a map on each mountain (and approach?) page besides photos and panorama. Coords data available, just center on mountain via link params. What do you say? (Can help with integration if needed, done it on one of my sites.)

I'll add a map with hiking trails from geopedie to the website with path descriptions. Best, Rok

So as not to bother elsewhere, since I can't find the topic...Are there data somewhere on how many KM the individual described paths are long? I'm curious how much I walk

That's also visible from the elevation profile. But it's true, it's only available by path sections and you'd have to add them up yourself.

I didn't mean sea level elevation, but kilometers, meters that are walked...

That's the x-axis of the graph or the more accurate number is written next to it (the graph is a projection onto another plane).

I'm interested where one could currently get Tabacco map 019 in Slovenia? I was in one Iglu Šport, they have all other numbers except 19(quite logical, right? ). Thanks and best regards!

Thanks. P.S: I'm wondering why my question was moved here from the thread "new Tabacco map 019"?!! My question directly relates to the thread title ? Then be fair and move also the original "post" by 2061alessio . But elsewhere there can be 5 or even 10 threads open for one mountain?!! Lately I notice someone persistently "moves" my contributions, even though they are in the right threads unlike many who don't. If you want order on the site, do it consistently. But you have plenty of work since there are a sea of duplicates and wrongly titled threads... But obviously that doesn't bother You, but one of my posts in the right thread... Shame .

The message was moved because I moved the entire thread to the maps section and because there's no need to open a separate thread for each map. If you look a bit higher you'll see that 2061alessio's message was also moved to the same thread. We move them precisely for that, as you yourself wrote, that sometimes there are 5 or more open threads with the same title. Best, Tadej
