I'm wondering where I could get maps of Karavanke, Julian and Kamnik-Savinja Alps in digital form suitable for printing (DTK25 size)....I'd like to print a map of Slovenian peaks and hiking trails on larger format

Maybe the geological institute sells them.

This Quo is a bit of a funny thing; as far as I looked, it's not even available on the website www.kje.si anymore? But true, I last checked about three months ago...

thanks for ideas and help...might be that at geodetic I'd really get the most suitable map format...but price I think would be quite high too...I'll ask ...this quo thing description seems very nice to me but as Zebdi says it's not on the page www.kje.si ...can't find it elsewhere either :/ ...this garmin thing I haven't managed to activate either....gonna have to play a bit more ....thanks again everyone

Why do you need this at all, if I may ask? The thing is that it's nice to copy maps at 1:1 ratio, because otherwise you mess up the scale, consequently any distance recalculation is much more complicated.

Zebdi. What kind of 1:1 maps, I haven't seen any.

He wrote about transformation scale, not the map itself.

True, I wrote about mapping scale. With printed DTK25 1 cm on map represents 250m in nature, with PZS maps due to different scale 500m; if you enlarge/shrink these maps at all, it no longer holds.

I'd print/plot the map for personal use ....I know scales well, that's why I'm asking about some version of DTK25 in digital form (tiff or similar) so I know how to work with it (DTK50 ok too)...didn't plan to copy maps (in physical paper form) because scale errors or resolution distortion happen too quickly.

I'll install Quo when I get a chance and check if maps can be exported electronically. Otherwise, the geodetic site mentions electronic versions (scans) of DTK25 and DTK50 exist, but the link to info on getting them unfortunately doesn't work right now. Maybe worth calling them to check. Personally a bit skeptical about printing and resolution - unless you have access to really good printers. Sometimes contour lines are very, very close For normal use, probably most sensible to buy the sheets you need?

Thanks zebdi.... I already sent an inquiry to the geodetic office for tiff, but they haven't replied yet... probably the price isn't very low ... you're right about printing - it could be a problem or the printing cost proportionally high to the quality ... so the question is whether in the end we won't just buy printed maps and glue them together

Can someone tell me the procedure for loading GPS tracks onto Garmin GPSmap 60CSx or converting to a suitable file that you can get here with each trip description? When sending to the device it says it's not a suitable file. Loaded maps: ADRIATOPO 2.41, AR 4.10 and City navigator 2015. Thanks
