Mojčin's hut on Vitranc will be open from 26.12.2017 to 2.1.2018. Paths from Jasna and under the old chairlift along the ski slope are trodden. To Ciprnik the path is trodden but crampons and ice axe are needed.
On Vitranc there is approx. 90 cm of snow, touring ski track is made.

On Vitranc approx. 70 cm of dry snow has fallen. The track is pulled along the ski slope under the old chairlift. From Jasna it will be trodden tomorrow morning.
Mojčin's hut will be open until 2.1.2018, we cook barley soup, welcome!

malimiha, conditions to Ciprnik last Saturday 21.4 did not allow safe ascent. At least that's what was last posted. I hope you get fresh info. Good luck.

Several hikers reached Ciprnik today. Despite snow on some parts of the path the summit is reachable. The path from Lake Jasna is impassable due to water flowing over the dam at Lake Jasna. It is necessary to choose marked path no. 20 which starts along Vršiška road between Lake Jasna and Hotel Lek.

Mojčin's hut on Vitranc is looking during summer season from late June to early September for a caretaker or caretaker couple. Hut open from 9.00 to 17.00 and offers various drinks and snacks.

Yesterday from home up to Ciprnik to take a little look down into Planica valley. The path is trampled and bp. Quite a lot of visitors. I also got a very tasty goulash, but apparently there's none today anymore.

Mojčin's hut on Vitranc will be open from 1.-5.5.2019. On the first of May goulash from the cauldron will be cooked. Before Sunday snowfall paths to the hut were dry. We expect the May sun will quickly melt dozens of cm of new snow.
Conditions for Ciprnik will be wintery, but very suitable goal considering high mountain dangers.

Upcoming weekend, 11th and 12th May, Mojčin hut on Vitranc will be open. This time we won't be cooking goulash, but you can taste all other goodies we offer.
Snow that fell last Sunday is melting well and by Saturday there won't be much left, so the approach is possible from Kr. Gora as well as from Jasna and Planica, same for Ciprnik.

Tomorrow and day after tomorrow, 18th and 19th May, Mojčin hut on Vitranc OPEN.
Last snow today's sun and higher temperatures successfully melting it, so tomorrow maybe patches here and there.
Towards Ciprnik not much left either so ascent to it no major obstacle, no extra gear needed.
