Hi Primož, do you happen to know if the path from Planica is also dry?

Mojči's hut on Vitranc is due to ski slope construction open until further notice on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays between 9.00 and 17.00. The path on the ski slope from Bedanec's hut to Vitranc is closed on weekdays from Monday to Friday until 14.00 due to possible falling rocks. Path from Jasna is always normally passable without restrictions. Welcome to the balcony of Triglav National Park!

I ran to Mojcin dom via Jasna today (1 hour 10 minutes up and returned to Kranjska gora along the trail (40 minutes down). I think the marking of the path from Jasna along the ridge as easy is very misleading for the average hiker, as it is extremely steep terrain, in places crumbly, full of roots and sand; where in places you have to help yourself with your hands. In one of the km you make as much as 328m of ascent. Good footwear with trail profile is required.

If you could run then it's not that technically demanding, so it's probably marked as easy (no cables, no pitons). I don't remember ever getting my hands dirty on this path though. In my opinion this path is not really extremely steep . Try the path to Cojzova koca for example, which has really been marked as demanding since last year (before it wasn't and there's no need either, because no cables and only 2 pitons in total), then the feeling of steepness will be a bit different.

Nina, 328 m ascent in a kilometer is steep, but it's not extreme steepness. There are quite a few easy marked paths where you ascend more than 400 m in a kilometer.
