Membraneless Rab Raptor performs excellently. On ascent everything evaporates from you, so the feel on skin stays dry all the time and thus doesn't cool when you stop. Size L of Rab allows wearing another winter layer. For me thick Rab Power Stretch Pull-on 360g warms like crazy, at the same time the brushed outer material allows some friction on jacket walls, space remains for unhindered movement. When crossing snow cannons, the outer nylon shelter layer, rare in softshells, took good care I wasn't wet. In short, I don't need expensive Gore-Texes or membrane clothes. In case of strong wind and severe cold I always have Pertex down jacket with me and essential emergency bivouac Celtex for two persons. Yes, get it, there are still some such models in UK shop. Stuff arrives free (no tracking) in five days to Ljubljana. Otherwise also here we get quality Soft Shells like Marmot, Zion, Up Track etc, just it has to fit you right.

I'd gladly accept gratis more from Rab, one of the few that does it right into details with normal price .I like that with them, whatever they tackle, they first study what best materials to use for a product, to make it as breathable as possible, thermally insulating, lighter, abrasion-resistant at critical points, don't skimp on collar height, number of seams, cuffs, zipper size, volume.They have models both lined and unlined, in short for all conditions and uses in mountains.What I notice with sleeping bags, they exceptionally use only two types of Pertex material and no ordinary heavy less breathable Nylon.With that bags are a bit pricier, but breathe well and match the best European down, in short you get what you pay for
