In this theory the right peak bothers me, which according to the picture is connected with Krn.
And Tolmin peaks are also before Krn (according to maps) Tolminski Kuk, Podrta gora, Vrh nad Škrbino, Zabiški Kuk...
According to the map slightly more to the right are the Western Julian Alps.

If we look at Vito's picture, because more is visible on it: left is Krn with characteristic white flank, below it flat Batognica, below it its black walls, below them - somehow in the middle of the picture, black walls of Maselnika, Stadorja and Rdečega roba (if I'm not mistaken, they are also called Stadorske stene). From these walls the ridge rises obliquely to the right, going over Škofič to the distinct notch, over Male Peske to Vrh nad Peski. This is a couple meters lower than Krn, but also a couple hundred meters closer to Krim, so it looks higher.

In January I was at a similar church above Zidani most, but one could see only up to the trees, so I don't know if it's that one. Who the patron is though, is too hard a question despite the žganci. nasmeh

You know what, Gorazd, your photos aren't taken from the same window. On the first three there's Sivka (1008 m) in front of Krn. Check the photos from the time of the move, the house in the clearing below wasn't there yet (built in summer 2011). The fourth must be taken from the bathroom window, maybe the neighbor's???, because in front of Krn is the summit of Mrzlega Vrha - Loncmanova Sivka.
