Otherwise for the others who don't know Sermin. It's an 82m high hill (before the reclamation of the Koper "lagoon" an island), on which there's a hunting hut. It stands between the Bertoki and Ankaran reclamations. Near it, the river Rižana flows into the sea. Near the former quarry on its eastern slope, they found some old remains a few years ago, but I wouldn't dare say from which period, as I'd just be guessing (look it up elsewhere). On its southern and western slopes there are oil cisterns. Nearby is also the natural reserve "Škocjanski zatok".
So when you're on the Coast, don't just rush to Piran and Portorož but also to this end.

Wolphgang, does a sign saying hunting hut point to Sermin under Črni Kal - before turning towards Kubed? I remember that on Radio Koper once some NOB fighter told about a celebration - probably right on Sermin.(?)
