Hello!
Could someone please describe the condition regarding snow patches on the path to Planjava from Jermanc? Are crampons and ice axe still needed?
What about Brana? What's the condition on the path?

Nothing special on Brana (I was up there 28.7.). There's just one snow patch on the scree, which can be avoided without problem. But I'd also be interested in Planjava, what the conditions are. I'd go up on Sunday. Has anyone gone further to Ojstrica - is it passable? lp.

Hey.
If you mean the marked path from Kamniško sedlo then I'd say, based on what I saw today from Brana, there are still some snow patches.
The path to Brana is still as bobo described it.
Does anyone know how the access to Repov kot and further to Srebrno sedlo is?

We were on Planjava from Kamniško sedlo on Sunday. The path is dry, except for three snow patches - the last one can be bypassed without problem (above or below). Then we went from Planjava towards Ojstrica along the ridge path. There are still many snow patches there. Despite small snow patches winter gear is mandatory. The most dangerous is the first snow patch when coming from Planjava. There my buddy and I, because of a slip, flew over half the snow patch. Right in the middle there was some rocks, where we managed to stop. We were a bit scratched, otherwise luckily nothing worse. But I left or lost a hiking pole up there (on the snow patch) - brand Kilimanjaro, cork handle. If anyone passes by I'd ask if they can take the pole (it's foldable), if possible, and leave it at the hut in Kamniška Bistrica, or tell me where I could pick it up (I'm from Komenda), my GSM: 051 607 965. lp, Boštjan

Hi!
I was on Brana on Sunday morning from Kamnik Saddle and the path is passable without issues. There's a small snow patch on the scree, but you can bypass or cross it, as the snow was very soft despite the early morning hour.

I can tell you only about Brana, where I was on 31.5. The scree is still completely under snow, but go early because it's still frozen and much easier. Summit or when you reach the edge it's all dry. lp T

Nice, a very welcome info, and a pic too. Actually it was bothering me, and from home I see only south side which is dry. How does it look towards Logarska? Still lots of snow? LP

No problem towards Logarska....snow is on the scree, as seen on the pic, there's none lower....anyway it'll melt fast now :-)
