Guys, tell the "economic" price at which you'd take someone extra if you had space in the car...?
No bad intent! Just to see for what money someone would take someone to Logarska as a passenger (return probably too..?) for cck. 140km

Well, I know you meant no harm. So I'll gladly give my answer. First, me and the other two girls wouldn't charge for the ride if we were inviting someone. We invite for company, advice from more experienced people, laughs,... not to earn 40 euros on four passengers. For 140 km an average car uses approx. 10 liters of gas. That's 15 euros if I'm not mistaken. But fleece the "invitees" for 40 euros. That is 25 euros pure profit without my contribution for gas... nice, right?! You do that every day, earn more than many in jobs with minimum wage.
Fair economic price, if we fairly share costs as colleagues, could be 3 euros if there are five of us together. And one drives once, the other the next time, right. For 10 euros there are transport services and s.p.-s. cool

First, sorry for "changing" your gendervelik nasmeh
If someone takes me to Logarska (or picks me up at home on the way), I'll gladly slip a five-euro note into their pocket. If possible, I'll invite them for beer/coffee... I can't return the ride right now, but at least I'll repay in some way and have a clearer conscience for the service done.
Thanks for the answer.

A week ago I invited 2 elderly people on a trip who find long drives tough.
We did the route Slovenj Gradec-Vitanje-Celje-Izola and back via the Soča valley to Bovec then over Vršič back towards Carinthia...
We burned 100€ of gas and I didn't take the offered money for gas! It was good company that laughed and sang the whole way and also treated to abundant snack and lunch.
If someone has no transport and feels like going to the mountains sometime, I invite them along for a symbolic price (pays just a beer or two).
From my place to Logarska I'd be ashamed to charge anyone...
Mountains should be for people with soul... After such statements I get a completely different opinion... nice mountain greeting

Eh, again these moralizing debates. For some 100 euros for gas is not much, for others it's a bit harder, but they'd still go to the hills. I don't know why not try to share costs. If you invite someone, of course you won't charge them. But if you deliberately agree on sharing costs, that's fine too, right? 10 euros for transport is still cheaper than driving alone with your own car.

Does anyone have info on snow/dry conditions on the Okrešelj side of KSA?
SamoK, you drive for free, nice of you. But as I follow hiking stuff, we share costs many times or drive alternately. If I won big sums on the lottery, I'd be a "free rider" too.

Hello,
lino, I agree with your question,
on the other hand, check the photos on the forum
and a large percentage will be horizontal. Why? Maybe because we prefer it, because it's hard to "rotate" the camera at the right moment, or because we didn't read the instructions and have a certain "format" set, which unfortunately is not the right one. Skymark, I like your photos, but you need to set "those" right settings on the camera.
I wish you "good light", otherwise the tour via Repa to Planjava-Kam. saddle-Kam Bistrica is quite a nice one.
Good luck

Today nice tour Repov kot-Srebrno sedlo -Planjava-Kamniško sedlo-Brana. Through Repov kot towards Srebrno sedlo there was very thick fog (difficult orientation). Towards Kamniško sedlo there are still three small snowfields, which don't pose problems. Brana is completely dry. Nice regards

Hot days have done their job, so yesterday on Planjava (both on the path through Repov kot and on the path from Kamniško sedlo) there were no snowfields on the path anymore.

Start at Jermanci towards Kamniško sedlo, then over Šija to Brana (II-III climbing grades), descend along the marked path to Kamniško sedlo and since the weather was still okay, go to the west and east summit of Planjava. Up between these two summits, so I didn't go around. Shortly after Planjava, I already descend, as dark clouds started gathering, the air was overheated, quite warm at that altitude. Descend through Repov kot back to Jermanci.

Yesterday (29.07.2017) nice circular path over Repov kot to Srebrno sedlo then to Planjava. Descent to Kamniško sedlo then to Brana and back to start. In the morning over Repov kot thick fog and slippery rock. In the fog orientation is quite difficult and great attention is needed not to stray from the path (cairns help us). From Srebrno sedlo to Planjava and further to Brana no special features (protections along the path are in good condition). Path over Kotliči is already open. Best regards.

On Saturday from Logarska dolina to Brana and further to Planjava. I imagined a small circular variant to avoid some crowds. Logarska dolina-Okrešelj-Kotliči-Boštjanca-Brana-Kamniško sedlo-Sukalnik-Planjava-Kamniško sedlo-Okrešelj-Logarska dolina. Savinja is richer, but still has reserves to fill the hiking bottle, which comes in handy in this heat. Before entering the secured part to Kamniško sedlo, I went straight up the Kotliči gully. The path is quite followable but has quite a lot of rocks and scree. I was worried that the landslide brought some larger mass of rocks into the gully, but the path is completely normally passable. Then I headed towards Brana, over the renovated secured section. Praise to the path maintainers, really nicely renovated. On Brana quite a lot of visitors, weather without a cloud and no wind. On Planjava a bit less visitors, path without features, also there without a cloud and light breeze on the summit. Well-deserved beer at Okrešelj and back to the valley.

Today a little to KSA to Planjava. Start at Dom planincev, then Klemenča jama, Škarje, Planjava, Kamniško sedlo and via Okrešelj to the valley. Sunny in the morning, then all sorts and clear at the end. Excellent walking conditions, views a bit worse, but you can feel autumn knocking at the door. Markings from Škarje to Kamniško sedlo almost invisible, good that the path is quite trodden, cairns help too. It was said no one maintains the path, officially Celjani should, but they have no path markers. Just a little needed - white and red paint and it'd be fixed quickly.

Sometime this week when dry days are forecast, I'd hop to Planjava. Plan is from KB through Repov kot up and then descent to Kamniško sedlo and down towards KB. Has anyone done this ascent these days? Is the ascent orientationally demanding in current conditions, given it's a difficult pathless terrain. Is the difficulty on any part of ascent or descent to saddle greater than e.g. ascent to Brana? Thanks for answers.

I temporarily postponed the planned ascent to Planjava through Repov kot because I didn't gather enough info in my opinion. I'm more cautious and want to know what I'm getting into, not rush into trouble due to thoughtlessness and have GRS rescue me or worse. Since Planjava was a blank page for me, I didn't fully give up on ascending it and used the last nice day before forecasted deterioration to go up from KS. I started from the parking lot before Dom in KB, which was still empty in early morning hours, clear starry sky promising a beautiful day.

The path from KB to Pastirci and higher through bushes is completely dry, in the final steepness below the hut there are some small snow patches, but easy to bypass. Then had to cross some snowfields that morning sun hadn't reached yet and were still frozen on the west side of the mountain. Crampons not needed, could step in footprints left by predecessors in the snow, but in the gully (grapa) risk of falling rocks. Especially note that the exit part from the gully where the last two fixed protections are on the path was icy in the morning. Higher in the wall snow melts during the day, water drips exactly on one of those two protections (I think it's a step, correct me if wrong term), overnight it freezes and is very slippery in morning frost. I didn't dare step on it, used it as hold instead, stepped on rock. Snowfields on the ridge unlike those on west side were softened and passable without winter gear. East side of mountain almost completely dry, summit too. Descent same way, but by then strong sun did its thing, warmed and softened snowfields on west side that were hard as stone in morning ascent.

Successful return from mountain I celebrated in the hut, closing from Sunday, with tea and shot of excellent ruševec. Meanwhile another hiker arrived, we chatted a bit and returned to KB together, otherwise surprisingly few people yesterday for such nice day. During entire ascent to Planjava summit didn't meet a soul, only on top met another hiker who then descended to KS. Some pics from recent KS ascent already posted by someone else here, I attach just a few vistas.
