To breathe in fresh air, especially if it's a bit windy, it is enough to do a circular path to the St. Lovrenc church on Polhograjska gora. We went along the steep path from the beekeepers' home, met some hikers and took a break in the lee of the church. The path had no problems. Back we went towards Briše along the steep forest ridge then along the road and cart track to the valley on macadam and back to Polhov Gradec. More at:

Our tradition - on 1 January to Polhograjska gora (St. Lovrenc). Path both on the ridge and on the road partially snowy, snow soft, still caution while walking is not superfluous.nasmeh

Nice afternoon walk today to St. Lovrenc from starting point in Polhov Gradec and Calvary. For Lovrenc it's good to have crampons to avoid injury because some parts of the path are quite icy.

With daughter today first time on this peak. Start at castle up V ridge. Path 1/2 quite tense but no difficulty. Marks faded but path traceable anyway. Lots of spring flowers along the path.

At the top windless, nice views all around, so one hour of mulled wine drinking was just right for both.
Recommend!

With Barbara, her daughter Klara and Jana, today to Lovrenc. And we went to see the nearby calvary.
Heather, snowdrops, dog's-tooth violet, crocus, and liverleaf already there.

First time here. Really super ascent. I recommend it to Šmarna gora visitors...

To Lovrenc and also Calvary Stari grad.
There's a bit more snow just a bit below the top.
Only before the chapel at the saddle does the sun appear.
Little snow on the path, so to the top without trouble.
