Polhograjska Gora (St. Lovrenc)

Print
Tadej15. 12. 2007 16:18:38
Today we set off from Polhov Gradec to Polhograjska Gora. Already after a few steps we noticed a large stoat by the path, which I managed to photograph before it fled.

On the way to the summit there was up to 2 cm, which especially on descent requires greater caution.

I often go to Lovrenc after work to recharge for more. Nearby Grmada is also a nice goal with great views.

Today on Lovrenc it was cloudy, occasionally light snow. Snow below 10cm, on top around 40cm. Path from Briše village is well trodden.

Today I finally managed to find time to check out Sv. Lovrenc. The path is nice, rain spoiled the atmosphere a bit but didn't disturb the great spirit. Highly recommend.

Instead of Šmarna gora, I set off to St. Lovrenc today, which I hadn't visited for a long time. I went straight along the direct path by the manor. Below some drops fell, above 600m snowflakes occasionally danced. The path is quite pilgrimage-like, especially for the weekend. Above it was lightly windy, snow just for winter feeling, distant views somewhat limited. Nice short tour to get a bit loosened up and see how it is up there.
Once the manor of the Saxon king Blagaj in 1838 (after him Blagajev Volčin), today a museum1

Yesterday my wife and I set off to Polhograjska gora from Briš. The path is somewhat steep at the start, then eases off and it's a nice Saturday walk to the church on top. At the top warm sun awaited us, so we basked on the bench behind the church for a while. On the way back we extended the walk to the Praproče starting point and then along the road to Briš. LP Borut

After a month we were back today at St. Lovrenc above P. Gradec. Beautiful walk to the top, at the top warm sun, so we sat a bit. Return to the valley past farmers who were clearing wood and home for lunch. Lp Borut

Today I climbed from Polhov Gradec to Polhograjska gora. The path is nicely trodden, especially in the middle part already bare and locally muddy.
I descended via the "difficult" path to Praproče from where I returned to Polhov Gradec.

Neighbouring hills are always a welcome target if the weather doesn't promise much, but pretty enough that you're not too grumpy when despite everything the sun smiles fully at eleven. Up via the variant from Polhov Gradec, back down the steep path to Briše, where luck had it that we completely missed the whole lower part and didn't have to go by road. Well missed isn't quite true, like old catsjezik we looked for shortcuts that unerringly brought us exactly where we needed to be. The difficult path is really just very steep, the last two pegs over the wall just a taste of Turkish raids. Path without features.
interesting piece of the world, there is something to see even if you are not an enthusiastic hiker1
