This afternoon I went for a change to the Polhograjski end to look. First time at St. Lovrenc, and the path to it is much nicer than to my closer Smarna Gora.

Yesterday's jump to Polhograjska Gora was the right decision!!! velik nasmeh

No crowds on the way up, actually met no one ;, path slightly icy in places, but can descend without crampons too!!! It was a nice winter day!!! cool

Since last time I didn't have enough time, today I went again to Lovrenc to inspect it more closely. The path is firm and dry all the way, only at the saddle by the farm there's still snow. On the way back also a look at the castle manor.

We said goodbye to summer well, today it would almost be nice to have some warming, especially at the top where wind was blowing on top. Sun shone occasionally, but couldn't doze off. Views poorer, barely could see towards Grmada. nasmeh

In the afternoon to Polhograjska Gora, everything in the best condition regarding markings, but best to go up when dry, so at least no slipping. And whoever looks towards the west will see our big farm in the background of the hills.

Nice trip, already nice along the path, but especially rewarded at the top with diverse flowers in abundance. Real paradise for botanists. Highly recommend.

since I don't know, is there some forest path or road to the mountain,... can one get up there by bike too?... sorry to the experts, but better to ask before than try something stupid!

A fairly steep road leads almost to the top, but due to private property cycling on it is prohibited.

It's been a long time since anyone wrote about this beautiful Polhograjska gora, but I didn't feel it was deserted, quite the opposite, after many years it also welcomed my second visit. Today to Polhograjska Gora again on circular path namely ascent to the top from the mansion on the classic path, return on the western, forested ridge towards Praproč and back to Polhov Gradec. At this time Polhograjska paths invite with beautiful spring flowers and heather in its full purple color.

Back on a really nice road over Črni vrh and then descent to Visoko. So even with driving on the circular path nasmeh

Almost 5 years since I was on Lovrenc. So Matej and I went to check what the winter conditions are like up there. Lots of snow, but the trail nicely trodden, no ice, some windblown snow on the saddle. Wind only occasionally. Nice morning formed with nice views.

Well-visited path - really steep to warm you up well. Can be good training to strengthen legs for skiing or later longer hikes to higher areas. Otherwise path dry today, warmer at the top than in the valley, especially where fog hasn't cleared yet. Nice views.

Soon the start of Polhov doživljajski park. On the way back, quite a few small visitors on a tour.

On Friday in these hills a night hike to Grmada

Towards Horjul Valley - it seems to me it's always in fog when Polhograjska Valley is clear

Today first time on St. Lovrenc i.e. Polhograjska Gora, super choice for Sunday morning. Almost 450 elevation meters, 50 minutes, I was really puffing, others without trouble... Path steep, dry, spring weather, snowdrops, hepatica, reeds. Nice views towards Koren, locals showed surrounding peaks, some we also knew. Triglav with Kanjavec peeked out. Also Blegoš with Koprivnik and Mladi vrh. From Kamnik ones Kočna and Grintovec. Down circular, arrived in completely different world, learned a lot of interesting things about floods in these parts, possible lake, how rainfall here affects rise of water at Krka spring, about beekeeping... Mansion and park nicely arranged. Surely we'll return to these nice places.
