Potoški Stol, Vajnež and Mali vrh

On Sunday we set off from Valvazor Hut towards Stol, but turned left to Potoški Stol on the Slovenian mountain path. The path was quite slippery, as it rained overnight and in the morning. But it went okay, despite forgotten boots... On Potoški Stol, nice view to the Austrian side, towards Celovska Hut, Ovči Vrh, Vajnež already quite close. Short descent and one ascent, and we were on the second two-thousander, Vajnež. Mists drifting a bit, some sun. Saw Bled and the lake, but visibility not the best. Descended to bivouac on Belščica, steep descent, sliding on wet roots. Short stop at Valvazor Hut, had to try strudel and Pavlina's cake, shame not to...

From 1.8 there will be a barrier in Završnica for Valvazor direction toll 10 euros, below 5 euros from 6am onwards.

Super... let them raise prices a bit more... and we'll slowly go back to those "romantic" times of old Austria. When only aristocrats hiked the hills, locals just enough to be their guides...

Or rather to the times of Yugoslavia, when we walked to (current) trailheads or used public transport. Romance is returning

Marjan, not with or, but with and using public transport.
Back then they earned with huts built by volunteers and packed full, now with parking and tolls. No big difference.
