Second day - Saturday - 14.10.2023 after breakfast in the Tuk hut we drive to the starting point of the Premužić Trail to Zavižan hut - altitude 1594m. From there on the marked path of the first stage to Alan hut - 1340m. Hiking 8 hours, ascent 500m, descent 750m. The hike is beautiful - easy. In between also to three hillocks along the path. Those are easy short ascents that break the monotony of the trail. The trail was arranged before WW2. Total length 52km. Usually too long for one day. We wanted to do the second stage on Sunday but bad weather on Sunday prevented it. We spent the night in Alan hut mostly on group bunks - sleeping bags needed. The hut itself needs thorough renovation. WC outside ten meters from the hut - chemical - on key from the hut. Inside a room where only ten people can sit. The main group dined in front of the hut in the dark. If it rained, that wouldn't have been possible. Table and benches on both sides under the eaves. Since there were 26 of us it was quite cramped. The keeper even turned away some youngsters. A bit lower another hut but it was closed. How they managed I don't know. We had full board. Dinner, sleep and breakfast. All more cowboy-style - living in despair. But no shortage of beer and schnapps, tea was also there. Apples were few. The hut was actually served by one person - all praise to him. In the evening he even lined up and cleaned all the boots, so in the morning we even searched for them a bit. Well, we survived. In the morning a violent storm awaited us, so the second part of Premužić Trail was cancelled. Half went despite bad weather on a short hike to the nearby hill - but few got wet. Around 11:30 locals came with three vans and took us to the starting point of Premužić Trail. Then on the way home - also by the sea. About two thirds of Premužić Trail remains for later. Despite hardships we had fun and they are quickly forgotten with a shot of their brandy, which is really good. We can only say see you.

The move to the start of the Primožičeva trail was quite interesting - even by the sea.

We arrived at the Babič Siča parking lot, where the entrance fee for the Premužićeva staza is paid.

We detour to the first summit along the path - Gromovača.

We also climb the second hill along the path - Crikveno.

The path goes through this narrow passage.

We go to the third summit along the path as well - to Seravski vrh.

We arrived at koča Alan. There was also a fourth hill on the path, but not everyone went there. Those who didn't go to the hill, I led to koča Alan.

We will have to come back here - there are still countless paths.

Then back down to the sea and home to Slovenia.

Yesterday we went along Premužić Trail, so Zavižan - Alan - Skorpovac - Baške Oštarije. jezik

On Friday we did logistics, left car at Baške Oštarije and Dragec transport to Zavižan, where we slept in the dining room those few hours, as we left home first at 5am. mežikanje

Regarding length official data 57 km, if someone measured maybe give your data, because both our measurements showed less, if subtract start from Planinski dom Zavižan and last part to hostel at Baške Oštarije, I'd say 47 km, maybe they just billed works for 57 km back then and no one checked. velik nasmeh

Definitely the trail is in best condition first part Zavižan - Alan. Start of second part Alan - Skorpovac, first 2h offers best views on whole trail to sea, Rab, Pag... Before and after Skorpovac shelter new nice rest areas on trail itself, about the shelter and surroundings words are wasted. zavijanje z očmi

In last part Skorpovac - Baške Oštarije trail mostly in forest shade and delights with views to Dabarske kuke, inviting for visit. nasmeh

Timetables on trail vary a lot, if first part quite uniform Zavižan - Alan 6h, from Alan to Baške Oštarije very different 12h, 11h, 10h..., say at one place sign 8h and next to it another 7h to Baške Oštarije. zmeden

I'd say everyone has own timetable for whole trail based on pace.
On whole trail met lots of people and lots of flowers (if someone identifies flowers better), day ideal for hiking, views superb, experience priceless...
